I've been trying since 2009 to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and experience between the workless, employers and providers, which is @recroconsulting mission statement.
I have met thousands of good people, massively frustrated by the employability and skills system who often say - I can't disagree with a word that you've said.
But despite having been to the top of government and business, speaking to a huge amount of press, politicians and think tanks amongst others, nothing has changed.
For more than a year I've toyed with something as basic as a petition and now, here it is.
Are jobseekers entitled to high quality employment support when they go to the job centre?
The answer is obviously yes but the DWP system default is no and nobody is touching it.
How anyone, including @andyburnham @alanmilburn can think we have a chance of helping the one million #NEETs, 400k of which aren't even with a job centre when they can't say what programmes are good, really good or a complete was of time and money is beyond me.
This is both extremely complex and extremely simple.
I know Private Office sanitise information and keep things from ministers, hopefully this will cut through.
Please support and share! 🙏

Might not be comfortable but this is one of many elephants in the room!
What does it take to get change and who pulls the lever?
Nobody has tried but isn’t this what @andyburnham @JohnHealey_MP wants and needs? @patmcfaddenmp

The first benefit cap stats have been published since the 2-child limit was scrapped.
165,000 families - containing over 370,000 children - are now hit by the benefit cap. That’s 50,000 more families than before. 1/4
ALT Chart from the DWP showing the number of benefit capped households in Great Britain over time. It shows that 164,000 families receiving Universal Credit were affected by the benefit cap in May 2026, up from 115,000 families in February 2026. (These figures are slightly different from those quoted in this post because we have added the separate benefit cap statistics for Northern Ireland into the DWP’s statistics for Great Britain.
