Hey, everyone.
Kindly connect me to Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors.
We’re building Widespread - a hyperlocal communication platform, where people and communities discover what is happening around them in real time.
Today we released our very first newsletter.
We're building Widespread in public, which means you get the real updates: what we're building, where things stand, what's next, and the decisions behind the scenes, good and messy alike.
If this sounds like something you're into, join the waitlist and be the first one to know when we're live:

This is how a Tag gets made in Widespread: pick a category, say what it's for, add details and media, then choose how far it reaches.

This week we changed our pre-seed math. We started at a $500,000 valuation. We're now raising $100,000 at $1,000,000. Why? Raising at too low a valuation means giving away more of the company early, and we'd rather keep enough ownership to keep building for the long run.

Nigeria has a population of over 230 million, with a fast-growing number of smartphone users. That scale, paired with consistent digital growth, shows there couldn't be a better time to invest in hyperlocal infrastructure.
Or take a survey and tell us what you’ll like to see in the app. You never know
