Should editors (not just owners) of a ChatGPT site be able to add more editors and viewers?

Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

Turns out building with @ChatGPT Sites is pretty addicting. So is clicking cookies. 🍪 I made a little demo that does both, with a database and an MCP server so ChatGPT and Codex can join in. Come hang out. I hope it gives you an idea for something fun to build. Chapters: 00:00 A cookie clicker for humans and AI 00:27 The prompt I started with 00:41 Saving clicks in a database 01:16 Adding MCP tools 01:29 MCP in plain language 02:09 Testing with MCP Inspector 03:11 Asking ChatGPT for the click count 03:40 Clicking a cookie with Codex CLI 04:10 What will you build?

The upcoming election is especially complicated here in California. There are a mere 47 contests where I live, more in San Francisco. So I made a site to research and plan my ballot: california-ballot-guide-2026… You private notes, location, and plans stay in your browser.

Knowledge workers can build their own tools that best fit their team Start with a report or tracker you rebuild every week. Give ChatGPT the rules and examples, turn it into a Site, and schedule the backend updates You know the workflow. Now you can shape the software too 🧑‍💻
Sites is now generally available for Enterprise, with US and EU data residency for new Sites in eligible workspaces. Build team apps with databases and authentication. @kagigz shows how to schedule updates and let teammates use their own connected data with Plugins in Sites:

Codex is one of the most important untold stories in the history of technology. A year ago, it was a scrappy effort in a quiet corner of @OpenAI. Its cloud product hadn’t found PMF, and the team was starting over from scratch. Less than 12 months later: - Codex swallowed the flagship ChatGPT desktop app from the inside (it literally runs as com.openai.codex on your Mac) - Codex and ChatGPT for Work hit 40M+ weekly users across engineering and knowledge work - Its leader @thsottiaux was elevated to run all of OpenAI’s core products, including ChatGPT, Codex, and the API How did they pull it off? They trained their own dedicated model line, separate from ChatGPT, with researchers and product builders sitting on the same team They built four different products in a single year (cloud → terminal → IDE sidebar → a desktop app with no code editor at all) as every model leap made a new form factor possible They used Codex to build Codex—so a handful of people could prove a new product in weeks instead of arguing for it in meetings I had a front-row seat to the whole arc—from their failed Cloud launch, to OpenAI’s offices the night before GPT-5 dropped, to the day Codex took over ChatGPT. And I spent months interviewing @gdb, @thsottiaux, @embirico, @mia_glaese, @aambrosino, and @edbayes to get inside how it all went down. Here is the full, behind-closed-doors story of the team that remade OpenAI: every.to/p/how-codex-happene… We’re pushing the boundaries of how stories like this are told. This piece is completely agent-native—designed to be read alongside your agent inside ChatGPT’s in-app browser: - Every interview transcript is included in full: Click any quote and you (or your agent) can see the exact conversation it came from. - Built for your agent to explore: Ask your agent to pull out product lessons for your team, cross-examine the transcripts, or find insights I missed when writing the piece. It’s a story about the future of software—built to be read with an agent: every.to/p/how-codex-happene…

Those dreaded Sites usage emails should be verrrrry rare going forward!
We’re also removing the cap on how many Sites you can create on ChatGPT Plus and Pro. We've been listening and we want to keep making it easier for you to build whatever you want. Have fun building ChatGPT Sites!

PSA: starting today GPT 6.1 Sol has a default context window of 500k (from earlier 272k) This should mean fewer (2-3x) compactions on long running tasks and faster E2E task completion! All at no extra charge across Codex & ChatGPT Work - Enjoy!!
Day 7/ We have increased default context length for GPT-6.1 Sol to 500k when used through Codex & Work, up from 272k or an ~ 80% increase. We will go higher in the future, but it helps reduce occurrence of compactions and with tasks that require keeping a lot of context and nuance over periods of time. It was carefully tested and is the new sweet spot for most of our users. You can still override it if you want to be higher our lower, with maximum context length of GPT-6.1 Sol of 1M.

Setting up a custom domain with @ChatGPT Sites... nitter.cf/siegerts/status/208788…
Replying to @siegerts
After I bought a domain for the site, Codex used Computer Use to add the DNS records and verify everything for the custom domain set up.
