This is true.
How can you tell if someone is an EV driver?? They’ll tell you.

Renewables won’t work because there’s no way to store the electricity. Meanwhile, back in the real world… Britain now has around 90GW of battery storage either operational or in the reformed grid connection queue. How much does Ofgem say we’re projected to need by 2035? Around 29GW We currently have so many battery projects trying to connect, that Ofgem is proposing measures to clear speculative projects out of the queue and free up capacity for the ones that are actually ready to be built. That doesn’t mean Britain already has 90GW of batteries sitting there working, much of that figure is proposed capacity in the connection queue. But it absolutely destroys the idea that nobody is investing in the technology required to support a renewable electricity system. Solar and wind generate electricity. Batteries store surplus electricity and release it when it’s needed. Smart charging moves EV demand towards better times. And the electricity grid itself is being upgraded to accommodate an increasingly electrified energy system. None of this means there aren’t engineering challenges The amusing part is that one of the problems Britain is now trying to solve is too many battery projects wanting grid connections. .

Might get my Tesla wrapped but it shows when ICE drivers cry.

Get an EV.
To everyone replying "buy an EV". I have nowhere to charge one. They cost a fckn fortune compared to my old Mondeo. The Gov't are going to screw you guys over soon enough too. I'm not a big fanny like you ☺️

ICE drivers know their cars are shit, which is why they need EV to fail so badly.

Top Gear impressed by the Tesla Semi. For years we’ve heard that electric trucks “won’t work”. Too heavy, not enough range, too slow to charge, impossible for long-distance haulage. Yet Top Gear’s coverage of the Tesla Semi has been remarkably positive, and fleets across the world are already implementing eHGV and seeing huge success. They highlighted the Semi’s 500-mile claimed loaded range, huge regenerative braking capability and Tesla’s approach to megawatt-scale charging. Top Gear Magazine even featured reactions including… “I HAVE NOW SEEN THE FUTURE.” “The writing is on the wall when it comes to diesel trucks.” Now, that doesn’t mean every claim Tesla makes has been independently proven by Top Gear, nor does it mean electric trucks suit every single haulage operation today. But the idea that electric HGVs simply “can’t work” is becoming increasingly difficult to defend.

Why do they lie about EVs so easily?

They never want to talk about cobalt, because there’s none in my battery and they rely on it to refine their fuel. Understandable. Easier to avoid the topic. Lithium comes from professional mines in Australia, China and Chile, but they don’t want to hear that either. Anything that goes against their weird confirmation bias is a no go area.
Lol. Let's not talk about cobalt and lithium mining. The new blood diamonds People can't afford food because of your clean grid. It's bloody nuts 😳 You're on a different planet. The country is on its knees because of net zero all in the name of being green

One of the biggest differences between EVs and petrol/diesel cars, is that an EV can get greener as it gets older. As more renewables, storage and low-carbon generation are added to the grid, the electricity charging it gets cleaner. An ICE vehicle goes the complete opposite way. Engines, injectors, filters and emissions-control systems wear. Efficiency deteriorates, while it continues burning fossil fuel for every single mile inefficiently. The EV you buy today can effectively be powered more cleanly in 5 years without changing anything on the car. You can’t upgrade the fuel coming out of a petrol pump. That’s the bit people miss and why ICE vehicles got to go. .

James is a liar. Direct green policy costs make up about 9% to 12% of a typical UK household energy bill. This is investment in the future, it’s upgrades, it’s additional power for everyone. Wholesale energy costs make up the largest percentage of a typical domestic energy bill, accounting for roughly 40% to 45% of the total cost. This foes into the pockets of the greedy bastards at the top. Anyone calling Net Zero a scam, is working for someone.
Absolute nonsense. Net zero is costing the taxpayer an absolute fortune and it won’t make a blind bit of difference apart from lining the pockets of the corporations who receive government contracts - funded by us. It’s a gigantic virtue-scam at our expense.

£25 gets me 1,200 miles.
Just put £25 of fuel in the car and the fuel light hasn’t even gone off. We’re finished.

Former head of MI6. I wonder who he is lobbying for now.
A Must Watch for all Climate/Energy folks The former head of MI6 (who knows a bit about national security!) describes exactly what a stupid security hole we've dug ourselves into with our politician's national obsession with Climate Action and Net Zero Frightening! It’s that time of year again… The “JUST WAIT FOR ALL THE BLACKOUTS THIS WINTER!” brigade are crawling back out of the woodwork. I’m already seeing the comments. Same people. Same predictions. Same fearmongering. Every. Single. Year. Apparently, EVs and renewables are going to overload the grid, the lights are going to go out and Britain is going to descend into darkness. They shout about it for months as if catastrophe is guaranteed. Then winter comes. The widespread blackouts they confidently predicted don’t materialise. And suddenly…silence. No correction. No admission they were wrong. No acknowledgement whatsoever. They just disappear back into the woodwork until the following autumn, when someone apparently hits the reset button and they start spouting the exact same bollocks all over again. At this point, you could set your calendar by it. See you next year for another terrifying episode of “THE GRID CAN’T COPE!” 😂
