the reason that tweet is silly is because crypto people, for the most part, can't just "pivot to AI". the same way you can't just "pivot to nuclear engineering/underwater welding" or whatever. so from a career perspective it made more sense to double down on the industry you're in and have the relevant expertise, talent, network in etc.

AI slop has fundamentally changed how I experience reading.
I now notice the tells everywhere. The short, punchy sentences. The relentless groups of three. The em dashes—the unnecessary little asides.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
The worst part? My brain now flags perfectly innocent human writing as AI slop too. AI hasn’t just made me enjoy bad writing less. It’s made me suspicious of all writing.
That’s a real loss.
I have no desire to distrohop from glorious @nixos_org but the screeching hate towards @dhh and @OmarchyLinux by the incels on reddit just might make me do it out of spite.
