Oh Dad💔💔💔💔, I don’t even know what to say. My heart is so broken that I feel like I can’t breathe half the time. 💔
These last two years have been such an emotional roller coaster, and I have never in my life witnessed someone fight so hard to live. You wanted to be here so badly. You fought with everything you had, not just for yourself, but for all of us.
As painful as these last two years have been, they have also been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Being able to walk through it all by your side, spending so much time together, and making memories I will cherish forever. Maybe that was God’s gift to us all along. Two years ago, things looked so scary, but you kept fighting. You fought long enough to meet Ranger, to make so many more memories with your kids and grandkids, and to give us time together we might not have otherwise had. Life slowed down, and we learned to cherish every little moment with you. I will hold those memories close to my heart for the rest of my life.
Dad, I am just so sad. It physically hurts. I already miss our daily phone calls, sometimes multiple times a day, talking about anything and everything. I miss your voice, your laugh, and knowing I could pick up the phone and call you whenever I wanted.
Even when you were going through the hardest battle of your life, you were still such a rock in ours. You brought so much joy to everyone around you. You were truly the funniest person, and somehow, even in your final days, you still found ways to make us laugh.
I have never known anyone stronger than you. I am so incredibly proud to be your daughter. I would give anything for more time, but I find peace knowing you are no longer hurting and are finally healed in the arms of Jesus.
I love you so much, Dad. I wasn’t ready for a life without you. I don’t think I ever would have been. Until I get to hug you again. ❤️

Today, the NHL Alumni family mourns the loss of Ron Duguay, a cherished member of our hockey family whose legacy reaches far beyond the game he loved so dearly.
Ron lived life with an extraordinary passion, an infectious smile, and a heart that was truly larger than life.
Above all else, his deepest and most sincere love was for his family. They were his greatest pride, his greatest joy, and always closest to his heart.
His dedication and passion for the game of hockey were unwavering. Hockey was more than a sport to Ron; it was a part of who he was, a lifelong love that he carried with pride and shared so generously with others.
But perhaps what made Ron most special was his humanity. His genuine compassion, kindness, and willingness to help others always extended far beyond himself. He cared deeply, gave generously of his heart, and had a remarkable way of making everyone around him feel valued and appreciated.
Ron greeted each day with the biggest smile, an incredible zest for life, and a positive outlook that shone through everything he saw, everything he did, and every life he touched.
He will be remembered not only for the player he was, but for the extraordinary person he was.
His warmth, his laughter, his kindness, and his beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and the entire NHL Alumni community.
Our deepest love and heartfelt condolences go out to Ron’s family and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Rest in peace, Ron. Your smile, your heart, and your love for life will never be forgotten. ❤️🏒
Forever a part of our NHL Alumni family.
