Got my jabs! FYI it is very simple to get a vaccine clinic to pop up at your workplace, and it's a fun excuse to hang out with work friends and their families. – at St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

Heads up to the @CityofStJohns - the new traffic light at the crosswalk for the Rennie's River Trail by Dominion is a great safety upgrade, but every single time I've used it someone has straight-up run the red light, usually right after I cross. Driver learning curve! (1/2)

It'll die down as drivers figure it out, but it would IMHO be a big help if there were some of those big "NEW" signs on the routes approaching that spot, or on the poles there. Also if the RNC wants to rake in some easy ticketing $ they could hang out there for a day, ha!

Good morning Toronto! Spending the day with colleagues from across Canada for the @feedopportunity Symposium. Very good NL representation in the room, including @PremierofNL - will be good to hear his perspective. – at Toronto, Ontario

Two perspectives on "Food as Medicine" - folks from the US and Canada. Feels like the conversation is dialing in on a tighter understanding of where and when and how food could be an intervention that health insurance covers. Still a ton of important debate on boundaries. – at Toronto, Ontario

Closing the day with a live @TheHerleBurly recording talking about the politics of fighting food insecurity. The host, David Herle, also just did polling on this and got really solid NL data showing just how much people want action. Read about it here: foodfirstnl.ca/blog/2024-pub… – at Toronto, Ontario

Latest report from the PBO shows purchasing power way, way down in Newfoundland and Labrador compared to 2019. Inflation here hasn't been particularly higher - but Yves Giroux says wages simply have not grown like they have in other provinces. @CTVNationalNews
