Caught up with #stlblues Mason McTavish after morning skate at MSG about how he’s adjusting to life with the Blues:
“I think the love for the game is always there no matter where you are — I guess a fresh start, you know, you’re excited to meet everybody and get going, but once you’re in the middle of the season with the boys it’s just the best thing ever. It’s what I grew up wanting to do and I’m lucky to be here and I try to never take any day for granted I guess.”
I was told this Blues team was good and that they were figuring it out by sticking to the process...

I definitely let this Blues team get to me far too often. I want them to succeed and I think they can play great.. but it's very frustrating watching them dominate Vegas then turn around and ish the bed with Montreal. Not to mention Snuggerud and Jiricek mishandling.

#stlblues forwards are finding out fast: when the puck is at the blue line in the O-zone and it's on Jiricek's stick, get to the net fast because he's shooting the puck and that's refreshing for a team that just hasn't had that kind of mentality from a D-man in a while.
