At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.

Why? For being asked to stop disruptive cheering during opposing at-bats at an 11 and 12 year old girls’ softball game in Sugar Land, Texas.
One father (Kiarious Hall) was cheering through the other team’s at-bats.
Parents asked him to stop before the pitch.
He responded by swinging a metal water bottle into another dad’s face, knocking him unconscious.
That man has a fractured skull, broken jaw, and three brain bleeds.
A grandfather stepped in to break it up and ended up with a broken hip.
Hall’s wife (then an assistant principal) joined in.
Both now face assault charges.
She resigned.
Not a mutual melee that “erupted.”
One couple escalated after being told to quit the disruptive cheering.
Media loves to blame both sides. The affidavits and video tell a much different story.

Austin is paying racial-equity consultants to lecture its cops about racism -- about $3.56 million to date -- and to stop rejecting cadets with bad credit and evictions, and to fast-track black officers into command.
One APD commander was thrown out after he refused to agree to her workshop's premises about systemic racism.
She calls the workshop a "revolutionary exploration into how systems of racism work." APD cadets take this critical race theory course in their first two weeks at the academy.
She told APD to:
- Create a short-term career ladder to put more black Americans in leadership positions
- Rethink hiring disqualifiers like bad credit and evictions through a racial-equity lens
- Expand her training department-wide
The city has been cutting her checks as recently as February of this year.
APD has about 300 vacant officer positions.

Parth Nayi ran the scheme from 2022-2024, staging robberies at restaurants, gas stations, and liquor stores across the country.
Others charged: Bhikhabhai Patel, Nilesh Patel, Ravinaben Patel, Rajnikumar Patel, and Kewon Young.
Participants paid up to $30,000(!!) to pose as crime victims and apply for U-visas, which grant immigration protections to crime victims who cooperate with law enforcement.
In July 2023, 3 masked men entered a Chicago liquor store for what was supposed to be a staged holdup.
One accidentally fired, shooting a 26-year-old employee in the abdomen. He survived.
Over 100 people benefited from the scheme. Nayi got two years.
