As long as Autumn lasts,
I shall not have hands,
canvas, and colors enough
to paint the beautiful
things I see.

Ebony eyes
see kindness as weakness
innocence as pure folly
prey of ease
Ghouls meander
nonchalant in deception
camouflaging their souls
shining their words
White light of hope
sees beyond
the shadows of dark
knowing when to look away.

The strongest souls are not necessarily those who have suffered the most, but those who have learned to question what suffering tried to teach them. Betrayal told them to distrust, heartbreak told them to withdraw, and disappointment told them to expect nothing. Yet somehow, they found the courage to remain open without remaining naive, and kind without surrendering their boundaries

you couldn’t call it
a relationship
not really
it was a series of
one night stands
a mutual desire to
explore dark places
it was addictive
it was soul deadening….

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand—
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep—while I weep!

For the One Who Sees ✨
How comforting it is
to be known by someone
who writes about you without a pen,
who notices the quiet sadness
behind your smile,
and sees the love
you carry gently within,
saving it for those
who know how to cherish it.
These are the souls
in whose presence we rest.
With them,
nothing needs to be explained,
and nothing needs to pretend.
They see us,
and somehow,
we feel more like ourselves.
O beautiful passerby
among life's fleeting moments,
come when you can.
We have gathered dew from the roses
and left it upon our hearts.
We have kept for you
a tenderness untouched by time,
and a small jasmine bloom,
still fragrant,
still waiting
for the quiet joy
of your arrival.

Somewhere along the way,
we stopped being two
and became
one heartbeat,
one silence,
one beautiful story.

Light Between Things
She said, “What is the moon?”
I wrote,
“A pale hush lingering above the trees, the face of love.”
She said, “What is the dawn?”
I wrote,
“A softening of shadows along the meadow's edge, the arrival of love.”
She said, “What is a song?”
I wrote,
“The stirring of leaves before the wind is noticed, the voice of love.”
She said, “What is life?”
I watched the evening gather between branch and sky,
and wrote,
“A quiet brightness touching each thing without remaining,
and yet, somehow, leaving nothing unchanged.”

Cuddled under a warm blanket
Enjoying Fall nights by the bonfire
Colors drenched in gold and red
Peaked before dawn arrived
A quiet world without a care
That breathes in whispers into the morning light

i want a woman
with filth in her mouth
and chaos in her blood.
a whore for me,
unashamed of what
we become in the dark.
but fuck,
that part is easy.
i can write hunger
until the paper bleeds.
it's the rest of her
that ruins my vocabulary.
i want a mind
that makes mine kneel.
a woman who teaches me
what i was too arrogant
to know i didn't know.
who stands beside me
without standing beneath me.
who knows when to hold me
and when to tell me
i'm full of shit.
i want her laughter
in the ordinary hours.
her feet against mine
beneath the sheets.
to know her fears
and never become one.
i want to be her peace
without quieting her storms.
her shelter
without becoming her cage.
and should the world
bare its teeth at her,
i will remind it
that kindness
was never weakness.
i want her whole.
the saint and sinner.
the brilliant mind
and filthy mouth.
the woman who brings me
to my knees
without asking me to bow.
perhaps that's why
i struggle to write her.
lust has a language.
love has a thousand.
but what do you call
someone who feels
like everything
you've spent your life
afraid you'd only
ever imagine?
