Like Ten Hag winning the FA Cup. The board refusing to see and do the inevitable because of some sentimental novelty and a romantic idea of hope and redemption. Just setting the successor up for an even worse starting point.
It did not go unnoticed by the #mufc front office that Michael Carrick received significant support from United fans during and after the defeat to Bournemouth [@RobDawsonESPN, @MarkOgden_]
Apart from a few select actual exclusives and thorough investigative pieces, journalism feels completely dead these days. Most of the time it's just carefully leaked information from whoever needs a bit of a PR boost at the right time.
Man Utd are in crisis, but as the club goes into a tailspin, where are the Glazers?

I've changed my mind about Meghan's dad Thomas Markle - he’s just a shy, decent man struggling to deal with the mayhem of his little princess marrying a prince.

Well said, from the man who significantly cut back training sessions to make players happy in January when we were only playing in the Premier League. Really enjoying the fruits from that now, with players completely unable to compete on several fronts with 2-3 games in a week.
I can only assume Harry Amass must be absolute dogshit in training to not get a look in ahead of Mazraoui.
Tbf, this is how it should be. Bin all the pitch side monitors and give the VAR the same authority to make decisions as the on pitch ref. The VAR are actual refs with 13 monitors, 70 angles and slow-mo replays. No one is better equipped to make a decision during a review.
Surely City would want to prove their full and complete innocence as quickly as possible with the IRREFUTABLE evidence?
🚨JUST IN: Manchester City will likely attempt to DELAY their Appeal Process for as LONG AS POSSIBLE.
The Premier League made a rule change this season: Appeals have to be concluded WITHIN 12 WEEKS of being submitted.
City’s lawyers can argue this rule DOES NOT APPLY since they were first charged in 2023, BEFORE this new rule was introduced.
Reckon there's a lot of rage and frustration in the squad at the moment. A good manager would use that as fuel to unite them, channel the rage onto the pitch and create that "us vs them" mentality. I reckon Carrick's in there like 'alright lads, let's calm down a bit yeah?'
Diamond?
Representing United in Madrid... 👊🔥

ALT Bryan Mbeumo features on our starting XI graphic for Atleti v United. 1 - Lammens 2 - Dalot 6 - Martinez 8 - Fernandes (C) 9 - Rashford 15 - Yoro 17 - Andrey Santos 18 - Tielemans 19 - Mbeumo 20 - Baleba 26 - Heaven Subs: 12 - Darlow 45 - Mee 4 - De Ligt 5 - Maguire 7 - Mount 10 - Cunha 11 - Zirkzee 16 - Amad 31 - Lacey 39 - T. Fletcher 41 - Amass 57 - Armer
Actually impressive that these players, some of which have been at the club longer than they'd even have the right to dream of, are still able to look like 11 complete strangers on the pitch.
Comments as you'd expect. Is it so difficult to acknowledge that Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time, and also that at 41 years old he's just not the first name down on the team sheet?
I think the big irony in all this is that all the United fans nozzling for Qatari ownership don't realise, or don't care, that the Qataris would've done exactly the same at United as the City ownership have done.
