Pakistani National in Court for Fatal Crash of Crime Intelligence Officer
The case against Akilesh Gupta, a Pakistani national accused of knocking down and killing a high-ranking police official, has been postponed by the local magistrate's court.
Gupta appeared in custody today following a tragic incident at the Lichtenburg Mall, which resulted in the untimely death of Warrant Officer Eunice Nortman. Officer Nortman was a dedicated member of the South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Intelligence unit.
The matter has been remanded to 6 November 2026. The postponement was granted to allow the State sufficient time to secure a qualified Hindi-speaking interpreter for the accused. Gupta is expected to launch a formal bail application during his next appearance.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash are ongoing.

The President who was sick when women were being killed and dumped in Kempton Park and he said and did absolutely nothing‼️
He then miraculously showed up feeling better when it was time to campaign for the ANC…
From there he then sent police from all across the country with all kinds of secret agents and intelligence to Moore Rd (he couldn’t do in Kempton Park…) to try get us arrested because to him the Immigration crisis will be solved by dealing with us not the foreigners or their governments.
A President who can’t even engage his people and listen to them, come to them and find out what their concerns are but instead always resorts to extremes and calling the army and bringing back apartheid laws??? A President who cares more about protecting Infrastructure and relationships that are beneficial to him than his own people??? That is not a Leader at all… just someone itching to be a dictator‼️‼️
