There we have it. Europe's last charge denied by a team that fell at the last hurdle in 2025. Both such captivating stories; all ten players should be so proud. Pokémon UNITE and its community are very special. The passion on display both in Twitch chat and at ICs/World Championships in person was truly wonderful. Having worked in this industry for almost 15 years now, you can trust me on that. I think it is extremely disappointing that this esport wasn't given one final year to prove itself, especially as these past six months have been so encouraging from a game state perspective. I only hope that there is an unannounced team game on the horizon to take its place, because the Worlds circuit will be less without one. Allowing myself to be vulnerable for a short moment, it is gut-wrenching not to be in San Francisco. I will never get the chance to cast this game at Worlds. More importantly, I may have missed the chance to hug some of my favourite people on the planet one last time. The talent and production team did a magnificent job all weekend and should be so proud of themselves. It's one of the best squads I've ever worked alongside. Go give them all the love in the world because they'll be hurting as well. I don't know if I necessarily deserve to say it - I'll let y'all be the judge - but it has been one of the honours of my life to be a caster on this series. I hope that my excitement, my enthusiasm, my knowledge and my heart came across in everything that I did. Remember the friendships you made through this game and continue to cherish them. That way, UNITE will never truly be gone. Until whenever it might be 💜🧡

My heart is absolutely crushed. "Time is a companion. It reminds us to cherish every moment, because they'll never come again." Words to live by. Take care, Captain.

A lot of things to tweet about today, but I wanted to make sure I say a genuine "thank you" to everyone who boosted the signal and shared the word. I'm delighted to confirm we have a show tomorrow and plenty of new faces interested in our events!

Obviously a very sad moment here, even if the writing was on the wall. EOS in Japan has genuinely caught me off-guard. I’ll be grateful always for the friends and opportunities this game has given me. Nothing short of a generational fumble from TiMi’s perspective, though.

Remember, Mass Effect friends. It does no good to read "we're never going to play this game". Give people a reason to rally around. Stay strong and DEMAND to see this franchise saved from the rot that currently envelops it. Don't despair. Fight. #SaveMassEffect

I'll weigh in on this as best I can. Eevee's track record speaks for itself. When it comes to advanced information for UNITE, they are *the* source. I do not doubt that some form of end-of-service ('EOS') announcement is coming next week. To what extent? That's the better question. For reference, 'EOS' announcements have already made their way into the game. Just look at Belgium and the Netherlands going offline twelve months ago. That caused concern, not alarm, because people saw it as tied to law and nothing else. Context feels very different here for many reasons. I see the rumours regarding a change of developer. This feels highly unlikely. Games like Pokémon GO or Star Wars: The Old Republic are not examples to take hope in. Both had incredibly healthy, GLOBAL player bases upon moving to a new developer. There is the Chinese version to consider in all this. Some are thinking it might be for that. Given how separate that version of the game always was from global, I doubt an English announcement would cover it specifically. It's impossible to say, really, without an official announcement. If I were to put confidence in anything, however, it's that I doubt the game will go offline in Asia even in the worst-case scenario.

The state of my favourite gaming studio closing, but my favourite multiplayer series finally earning a ‘3’ next to it. Life really is full of ups and downs.

Crushing. Absolutely devastating for all involved.
