Comment with your pet photos! Freddie is our featured pet today sporting the Green & Gold! After a very chilly start, we stay chilly all day. Highs only reach the mid 40s and with the wind it could feel like the upper 30s, so grab the coats for the dog walks!

Saturday morning is likely going to be even colder than Friday morning was. Sunday morning could also be pretty chilly. We start to warm up a bit next week but some inland communities could still see a frost here and there.

Saturday morning is likely going to be even colder than this morning. Inland communities could see the first killing freeze of the season (in the pink) defined as 28 degrees or colder. And even lakeside areas could get to freezing in the low 30s.

We officially got to our first frosty conditions of the season in Milwaukee this morning. It is tied with 1900 and 1940 for the second latest first frost on record in Milwaukee. The record still belongs to 2016 when we didn't see our first frost until November 12th!

Brr! Close to, if not the coldest morning of the season so far. Everyone had the potential for frost with lows at 36 degrees or colder. Some inland areas even saw a freeze. Saturday morning is likely colder.

We officially dropped to 36 degrees in Milwaukee this morning giving us our first frost of the season. It comes much later than average. Typically we would be getting ready for our first killing freeze in the upper 20s by this point of the season.

Today will be the coldest day in months! The last time we had highs in the 40s in Milwaukee was back on May 11th - 179 days ago! That streak likely ends today with highs only in the mid 40s. It is the 10th longest streak of highs of at least 50 degrees.

Our precipitation so far this year has gone a bit back and forth between wet and dry months. A very wet April, which saw some flooding, has helped push us into a Top 30 wettest start to a year on record and still over 2" above average since January 1st.

So far 2026 is running as the 12th warmest start to the year on record. October was the most above-average temperature month of the year so far. Only four months have been below average so far, and two of them just barely.

The latest drought update is out. We are finally seeing some improvement up north with the areas of Extreme and Exceptional drought decreasing. Locally we still remain drought free!

Milwaukee has set to see it's first frost of the season, defined as 36 degrees or colder. If we don't get to 36 or colder tomorrow morning it will go down as the second latest first frost on record. The current record for latest 1st frost is November 12 set 10 years ago.

Saturday morning could see the first frost for some lakeside counties, and even a widespread freeze inland. Sunday morning could be similar.

It's been a few weeks since we've worried about frost and freeze, but get ready to cover those plants! Low temps will drop into the 30s to around 40 the next few mornings. Some frost is likely inland Friday morning with everyone seeing a frost, and a freeze inland, Sat & Sun AMs

Still a good chance for some light, scattered showers today, but probably a lot of dry time. Maybe a lingering sprinkle tomorrow but otherwise all dry heading into the weekend.

Much cooler this morning than the last few mornings, but still well above average for lows this time of year. Most of us are waking up in the upper 40s to around 50. We only warm a bit for afternoon highs in the lower half of the 50s with light showers possible throughout the day
