Another round of disengaging from Twitter (aka X).
I don't plan to post new content here, but I may reply.
If I've unfollowed you, I probably follow you at the Blue place. If you are not there yet, why not?
Note: I will not follow you at both places.

"On one day, five of the 20 courts were sitting empty because there is not the budget to keep them open. What should be the busiest crown court in the country is being forced to run at reduced capacity..."
This is why there's a backlog, not cos of juries!

For years, the Post Office and Fujitsu covered up the bugs in their faulty Horizon computer software, blaming the subpostmasters using it.
Thousands had their lives ruined. Some took their own lives.
Now Channel 4 News has obtained a 2006 contract between the two companies - overlooked despite being uploaded to the Post Office Inquiry's website - which a forensic accountant who investigated the Horizon scandal has described as "dynamite".

Post Office had deal with Fujitsu to fix Horizon errors 19 years ago.
They lied to courts, parliamentary committees.
Postmasters knowingly wrongfully prosecuted, Lives destroyed. Compensation being paid from public purse.
No one charged for conspiracy.

Here, from Lammy's appearance in front of the Justice Committee, is what's REALLY going on.
Here, Lammy confirms that even if the backlog was at a sustainable level, he would STILL be looking at introducing restrictions on jury trials!
It's a year since I decided not to originate any posts on X. Now, in the light of the platform failing to curb blatant hate speech when reported, I am unfollowing virtually every account, even if you follow me and are not on Bluesky.

It’s utterly shocking that over 3 years on from Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, British companies are complicit in exploiting the loopholes which funnel wealth to the Russian front line. 🧵

Have you seen the cover for 'Burke and the War of 1812' yet?
Here it is.
It publishes on 26 April and is already available on pre-order. Link in comments.

Let me make this absolutely clear. Last night bombers took off, drones were launched and missiles were fired from Russia.
Ukrainian air defences knew they were coming, but had no idea what their targets were, because the President of the United States prohibited vital intelligence to be shared with battlefield commanders.
Last night Donald Trump actively assisted an indicted war criminal to murder Ukrainian civilians. America’s president is now a MURDERER as well as a convicted felon. I’m sure Putin will present him with a medal when he visits Moscow.
