PolyBlog brought together aspiring media professionals for a two-day digital media workshop, in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), exploring the challenges facing Lebanon and the role journalism can play in addressing them.
Through expert-led sessions, practical exercises, and group discussions, participants explored different aspects of journalism and media production, exchanged perspectives, and worked on turning ideas into meaningful stories and projects.
From the trainers sharing their expertise to the conversations on stage, these two days were an opportunity to learn, connect, and rethink what media can do.

Lebanon’s GDP stands at $33 billion, but models suggest it could reach $100 billion, according to Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Bisat. Speaking at a panel on Lebanon’s post-conflict recovery, he highlighted the need for reforms in the banking sector, electricity sector and state’s legal framework to better leverage the country’s human capital.
Organized by LAU’s School of Arts and Sciences’ Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution (ISJCR), in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), the panel brought experts and students together to discuss economic recovery, institutional reform and governance. @KAS_Lebanon

Lebanon’s Youth: We Have to Coexist… But How?
We asked students from several universities across Lebanon about peaceful coexistence in the country. Some acknowledged that it may be difficult, but stressed that it is far from impossible.
Others said that those who are able to foster coexistence within their own families and homes can also help build it on a national scale. For some, coexistence simply means sharing the same space while respecting one another’s freedom, dignity, and opinions.
This project was produced in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Beirut Office.
