A new Munker illusion, which I call confetti. All the dots in the background are the same color (RGB 250, 219, 172) but are perceived as four different colors. The differences are subtle, though, and depend on the size of the image when it's viewed. cc @AkiyoshiKitaoka

I bought a box of 250 cheap but decent earbuds and now whenever I'm somewhere where someone is listening to their phone without headphones, instead of complaining I simply offer them a free pair of headphones. So far I've been hugged twice and once an entire Amtrak car cheered. – at Manhattan, NY
