Generational โlock inโ mini game
I had a Pokรฉmon stadium mini game money match with some homies at one of the first Smash Conโs (now Supernova) and this was the winner.
We got loud, got a crowd behind us, popped off after every dub.
Celebrated by getting Taco Bell with the winnings ๐ค

Evolution of Tomb Raider over the Years!
What an emotional, nostalgic moment for OG Gamers since PS1 days ๐๐ป
People can debate all they want but not only is she the mother of gaming but in my honest opinion it can be argued that she is the most impactful video game character to ever exist. Not Mario. Not Sonic. Not Link or Zeldaโฆ Lara Croft.
In a space primarily dominated by male mascot type characters and a blue hedgehog, she challenged traditional ideas of who could lead an action franchise which at the time as a genre was still being explored.
With 3D gaming combined with โcool appealโ action games becoming mainstream, a safe route would have been to go with a male role, shit.. have Nathan Drake come to life 10 years earlier, but they took the risk.. Put a badass female who kicked ass and looked good doing it, right in front of your very eyes on the cover of that jewel case, as the MAIN PROTAGONIST.
And not only was it an overnight success, but it sent a shock through the industry that is still felt to this day.
The strongest argument isnโt necessarily that Lara is the most popular, best written or most commercially successful. Itโs that few characters have influenced so many different aspects of gaming, pop culture, technology and representation simultaneously the way she has.
I could talk about this for hours
But you donโt get Joanna Dark, Claire Redfield, Regina, Bayonetta, Aloy, Senua, Ciri โฆ the list goes on.. without Lara. ๐ซถ๐ป

Today is the 30th Anniversary of arguably one of the most impactful franchises to ever exist in video games.
Tomb Raider was the first game I ever played. My video game journey started with this little blue disc and my Ps1. I donโt know where or who Iโd be without it โค๏ธ

Not me. ย Not Core Design. Not Eidos either.
When I was first asked to record Laraโs voice for the Tomb Raider game, not only did I have no idea sheโd still be a global phenomenon three decades later, but neither did the creators.
The voice-over session, in a little studio in Soho, took five hours. A handful of lines, hours spent moaning and groaning in to a microphone, falling, fighting, โdyingโ and then I walked back out on to the London streets and promptly forgot about it, just another gig.
But all these years later, Lara Croft is incredibly dear to my heart. What a journey.
Iโm deeply honoured and proud to have played even a small part in the legacy of Tomb Raider as the original voice of Lara in the very first game and to have my soundbites in games 2 and 3.
Over the years, Iโve been unbelievably moved by the stories people have shared, how playing the game helped them express themselves, heal, or connect with someone they loved. Gamers tell me my voice is wrapped up in their memories of playing Tomb Raider with someone whoโs no longer here and thatโs such a special gift. Itโs something I cherish and will never take for granted.
Thirty years on and somehow Lara just keeps on giving. Through her, Iโve had the chance to travel, meet incredible people, host live events, be part of Tomb Raider publications and tv shows, appear at Comic Cons and even present an award at the prestigious BAFTAs when Lara was voted the most iconic video game character of all time, a life goal I didnt even know I had.
From introducing the Philharmonic Orchestra at Tomb Raider concerts, to being invited on podcasts, having my own name on a Trivial Pursuit question, hearing how Lara inspired people across generations, itโs been a deep privilege to be part of something so global, so enduring and special to people.
Lara and Tomb Raider will always hold a very, very special place in my heart. So thank you Lara Croft, you bloody icon you!!
My never-ending, heartfelt gratitude to Chris Moorhead, Sarah Haines and Philip Brimley for entrusting me with the profound honour of filming at the breathtaking Hatfield House, forever immortalised as Croft Manor. What an extraordinary privilege.ย
