20 years without you Banaz. I remember this day in 2006 like it was yesterday. I retrace my steps, so many what ifs.
Your memory lives on for eternity. I just want the world to see your beautiful smile, know your kind heart & bravery.
You’re in my heart & mind always ❤️
This week, we delivered our specialist 3-day training to the first cohort of officers at @NorthantsPolice
We welcome Northamptonshire Police’s commitment to improving practice and closing safeguarding gaps.

Today, #WeRemember Tulay Goren, who was killed on this date by her father, after choosing her own partner. Tulay’s case was the first time the CPS used expert witnesses in honour-related crimes. Tulay should have been turning 42 this year. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.
#HappyNewYear from all of us at Karma Nirvana!
2025 reminded us of what’s possible when courage meets collective action. From policy change to survivor-led progress, each milestone is important. Take a look at our key moments in 2025, as we carry this momentum forward into 2026
As 2025 comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a busy and impactful year. Our small but mighty team has done incredible work, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported & worked alongside us. Thank you 💕

#10years on, #coercivecontrol remains one of the most reported forms of #domesticabuse. National data shows it is often hidden & linked to other crimes, including HBA. Our data shows HBA survivors are often affected. We stand with survivors & continue to raise awareness
While many experience this season as a time of celebration, we also know it can feel heavy or lonely for some survivors of HBA. Healing doesn’t always mean everything gets easier overnight. From all of us at Karma Nirvana, we’re sending love & wishing you a peaceful Christmas 🎄
The festive season can be a difficult time. Our free UK HBA helpline will remain available, with adjusted opening hours.

"We now have the ability to deploy trained experts to reports of HBA and to support colleagues across the organisation to recognise signs of HBA and the risk it presents in our communities"
"Thank you to Rachel for delivering the training, and to Karma Nirvana as a whole for supporting our journey".

Before retiring I completed the 4-day course, which allowed me to become a force expert. I can honestly say it was one of the best courses I went on during my career. HBV is a serious and frightening crime which still exists in the UK – at Costa Rica

Day 8 of #16DaysofActivism - we were invited to @10DowningStreet to discuss the government's strategy to halve #VAWG in a decade.
We were grateful for the opportunity to share our expertise and ensure #HBA and survivor voices are incorporated in the national conversation
Thank you Janet 🫶
We still continue to deliver our courses knowing that we know it will help reach many more victims and survivors, as well increasing knowledge of many professionals along the way. 👍
