I'm voting YES. If Gina Reinhardt, Clive Palmer and Rupert Murdoch are saying no, it tells me voting YES has a great chance of creating positive change. #Yes23 #VoteYes

A professional rider filmed abusing her horse at an A&P show has been convicted and named in New Zealand. The decision by NZs High Court to name her suggests society's tolerance for poor horse welfare in equestrian sport is quickly disappearing #equestrian stuff.co.nz/national/canterb…

Younger generations often get bad press - I'm happy to share some good press - an amazing effort from this group of teenagers helping young people in Ukraine ❤️🙏👏
Belgian teenagers raised money to buy a school bus for Ukrainian kids from Hostomel (it is an area that suffered badly when the Russians invaded Kyiv region). The bus came packed with school supplies! This is the second bus they bought and they are already aiming for a third one! This next generation of humans is so amazing! Thank you, @beforukraine!

Such a great conference - thank you #ISAZ2023! The feedback from my workshop and presentation was so positive and generous, and I was able to learn so much from the work of others. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be here and be part of this wonderful group.

Had a fabulous time running a workshop at #ISAZ2023 yesterday - so much fun exploring ideas with such a great group of people!
Superb start to #ISAZ2023 with @K_L_Luke Thinking Systemically workshop. Is this not just one of the most crucial considerations of human animal interactions?

Not ok. The latest models of animal welfare (Five Domains Model) recognise animal sentience and agency, this practice is not consistent with good welfare and cannot be justified. If we need dairy products, we need to do better and adopt ethical production solutions #HowNowDairy
🐄 The use of weaning nose plates in the dairy industry separates calves from their mothers, preventing them from nursing. This disrupts natural bonding and can cause distress. via Michael Lanfield Vegan #dairytruth

The FEI Equine Ethics and Wellbeing Commission has just released their strategic approach, recommendations and Equestrian Charter. Some excellent ideals and concepts, but little detail about how things might change for horses. What do others make of it? equinewellbeing.fei.org/sf20…
