The first of three statewide televised gubernatorial debates I was invited to this fall took place on Friday. Amy Klobuchar did not show up.
I did show up. And I sat down with KSTP's Tom Hauser to discuss some of the most serious issues facing our state today -- including the fact that less than half of MN students are reading at grade level after nearly 8 years of Tim Walz as governor.

Jason was the kind of person who made the work better and the people around him stronfer: steady, generous with his time, and always willing to help. His loss is felt deeply across our Republican family and far beyond it.

Jason was gold, and we were lucky to have him for the time we did. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones today, and with everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
