Kano State Housing Corporation Mourns Director of Public Enlightenment, Ismail Garba Gwammaja The Kano State Housing Corporation (KSHC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its Director of Public Enlightenment, Malam Ismail Garba Gwammaja, who passed away after a brief illness. In a condolence statement issued on behalf of the Corporation's management and staff, the Managing Director, Alh. Abdullahi Rabi'u, described his death as a loss to the Corporation, the Kano State Government, and the public relations profession. Alh. Rabi'u described the late Gwammaja as a dedicated public servant known for his professionalism, humility, cordial relationships with colleagues, and commitment to his responsibilities. He noted that his approachable nature and willingness to work with others earned him respect among colleagues and associates. The Managing Director said the late Gwammaja contributed to communicating the Corporation's programmes, activities, and policies to the public, helping to promote awareness of its work in the housing sector. He also acknowledged Gwammaja's role as Chairman of the Kano State Forum of Directors of Public Enlightenment and Public Relations Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), where he provided professional leadership and encouraged cooperation among government information and public relations practitioners. Alh. Rabi'u extended the Corporation's condolences to the deceased's immediate family, relatives, friends, colleagues, members of the forum, and the Kano State Government. He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased's shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus.

WATER SECTOR UPDATE: GORON DUTSE 💧 The Kano State Government is making significant strides at the Goron Dutse Water Facilities. ✅ The entire 15.6km transmission line has been inspected with all leakages permanently sealed. ✅ Three major reservoirs with a combined capacity of 40.4 MILLION liters are now fully desilted and ventilated. ✅ Critical replacement of old asbestos pipes with durable steel pipes is almost complete. Work is advancing steadily and right on schedule. The Kano State Government is highly optimistic that full trial testing will commence before the end of this month, In Sha Allah. The government assures Kano residents that the era of severe water scarcity is rapidly coming to an end.
