Since Halloween is almost upon us. I'll begin the spooky season by pointing out that the famous 'Enfield Poltergeist' of 1977-1979 was a fake and almost entirely the product of a man named Maurice Grosse; who was the warden of the Muswell Hill Synagogue and a devout jew.
