At the end of June I was in Amsterdam checking out (among other things), the variety of housing types. The Begijnhof is @UrbanCourtyard before courtyard urbanism. A hidden housing solution for widows and orphans (no men allowed), it is made up of individual houses (some now connected) that surrounded a beautiful courtyard. Two churches are located within its walls...
