9 G/A for Thierno Barry in 11 games this season.
Many in the Everton fanbase turned on him last season. At times, even this season, he has been wasteful in front of goal.
But, along with Hackney and Rohl, excellent tonight for Everton. Another goal and another assist 👏
Can’t be easy for Harvey Elliott after what he went through at Villa last year, through no fault of his own.
Excellent player and could easily be a star for a mid tier Premier League club chasing Europe.
🔴⚠️ Julian Burgosa Valencia expert, on Harvey Elliot:
“At the moment, I don’t think he has adapted… he has been a significant disappointment, especially considering he arrived with the pedigree of coming from Liverpool.
It is true that he has been putting in the work over the last few weeks, and he appears to be in better physical shape.
Honestly, if the option to terminate the loan arises, Valencia will likely pursue it. With a new sporting director and manager – compounded by the team’s poor form – it seems they will look to undo many of the moves made by the previous sporting director”

Wow.
Everton with an already thin squad, choose to suspend arguably their best player before a huge cup game due to a reported “unauthorised absence from training”.
Got to commend Moyes for maintaining standards but this information being leaked doesn’t help Everton.
Devils advocate.
If the Fleetwood player that made the tackle had received a retrospective one match ban, would that change the strength of feeling here?
Most of the response to this appears to be fans aggrieved that the Fleetwood tackle was bad enough to warrant a red card and it didn’t receive one.
TLDR- Does the tackle justify the reaction? Is it still violent conduct even if the tackle is punished?
Regulation & Discipline update on @Arsenal:

ALT An independent Regulatory Commission has dismissed claims of both wrongful dismissal and excessive punishment for Max Dowman. The Arsenal player was sent off during their EFL Cup game against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday 27 October and will be suspended for three matches. The Regulatory Commission’s written reasons for its decisions will be published in due course.

Joe Gomez last 10 starts for Liverpool: W8 D2 L0
It always surprises me how surprised many of our fans are that Joe Gomez is a very good Footballer.
The only reason he’s unreliable has absolutely nothing to do with his ability.

Football League crowds reached a 72-year high in 2023/24, up 11% on the previous season.
Meanwhile, 19/20 Premier League clubs raised ticket prices for 2024/25. With the cost of living, it’s increasingly hard for the average person to justify spending hundreds of pounds on a Premier League day out.
For fans pushing back against those prices but still wanting their football fix, the EFL and their local teams have plenty to offer.
We did a watchalong for Walsall vs Salford in League Two on Monday night. A six-goal thriller, some incredible goals and a credit to both teams.
There’s brilliant, affordable football on your doorstep. ❤️
A Fleetwood fan sent us this after the Arsenal game… 👀
"Funny how everyone suddenly supports Fleetwood when Arsenal come to town. Tickets sell out instantly and Highbury is packed, but where are half of them when we’re playing Bristol Rovers on a Saturday?
"The club needs support now more than ever, not just when a Premier League giant comes to town. If you were there for Arsenal, there’s no reason not to be there for Bristol Rovers too."
Fair or harsh? 😬
Grimsby were 53 places below Man United when they eliminated them from the cup on penalties just 428 days ago…
Tonight Fleetwood, 88 places below Arsenal did the same. Congratulations to Fleetwood, and spirited performance and a great story for Football.

Three games to the International break for Man United.
Chelsea (A)
Roma (H)
Aston Villa (H)
Then nothing until they face Liverpool at Anfield on the 22nd November.
INEOS and the Glazers are buying time and I wouldn’t be surprised if no change happens for another few weeks.
Carrick will remain in charge until they have found someone they can really hang their hat on, rather than rushing another appointment.
Astonishing.
I have to say, I think it’s important that clubs don’t bow to fan pressure so frequently. They should afford managers time and patience.
However…
After the events of the past week, did anyone really see Carrick in the dugout at Stamford Bridge this weekend? (Perhaps not even the man himself!)
🚨 BREAKING: Michael Carrick remains in charge of Manchester United and will be given the opportunity to turn the situation around.
Training is taking place as normal, with Carrick and his players fully focused on preparing for Saturday’s clash with Chelsea.
The emphasis within the club is on delivering a response on the pitch.
Well, this tweet didn't land as intended.
In my stupor before bed, I thought the idea of winning a prestigious award for a Nando's sauce on Ballon d'Or night was funny.
It wasn't meant as a dig at Saka helping sick kids (which is obviously brilliant) and certainly had nothing to do with race.
It was an ill-thought out attempt at a joke and I got it wrong, folks.
