Kbear TB01 Review: This IEM costs between $25 and $30.
The sound signature is a warm, slightly stuffy presentation that has an audible lift to the mid bass.
Sub bass is present, but the mid bass takes the priority over it. Sub bass isn't quite there in terms of both quality & quantity.
The mid bass is actually fine. Despite being audible and graphically boosted to the point where it's thick and heavy, it lands with a fairly decent initial transient, has a good weight or kick, and the follow through is executed decently for the price.
The mid range isn't exactly a priority here. The warmth and heft from 100Hz to 300Hz gives it a bit of a warm and thick feeling which assists male vocals. However female vocals aren't the most energetic or forward, and it can sound un-exciting at times.
I don't hear any honk whatsoever.
The upper mids have been relaxed down from Harman to deliver a slightly darker leaning presentation. The energy and forwardness of higher octave vocals is audibly reduced.
The treble is... complicated. To me, it's ok, but occasionally has metallic clangs for some instruments. Depending on your insertion depth and HRTF, it could cause issues, in both the upper and lower treble. It's not a very safe or smooth tuning despite leaning warm.
I don't find the subjective/technical aspects to be particularly standout for this IEM. It's average for dynamics, stage, imaging, etc. The transients are medium-slow.
Speaking of design, it actually looks really nice, and has this cool reflective and metallic shell that's also quite durable. It's slightly on the heavier side.
Unfortunately the fit and comfort were not amazing for me, causing issues with weight and the shell itself doesn't fit my ears that well. This is very very subjective, though and it really depends on your ear.
