# HOMELINK HEIGHTS OFFICIALLY OPENED, BOOSTING ACCESS TO DECENT HOUSING IN HARARE **By Constance Chimberenga** Homelink Heights, a residential development in Harare, was officially opened today by Dr John Mangudya, Chief Executive Officer of the Mutapa Investment Fund, in a significant milestone towards expanding access to decent and modern accommodation. The opening ceremony attracted senior Government officials, representatives of the Harare City Council, led by His Worship, Mayor Cllr Jacob Mafume, as well as residents and other invited guests. The development comprises six blocks housing a total of 72 two-bedroom apartments, providing modern and secure accommodation5 equipped with solar power systems and geysers to enhance residents' comfort and convenience. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Mangudya said the project was aligned with the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and Zimbabwe's broader aspirations of attaining Vision 2030. He emphasised the importance of inclusive national development, noting that as Zimbabwe works towards becoming an upper-middle-income society, the principle of leaving no one and no place behind must remain central to the country's development agenda. Meanwhile, Homelink Chief Executive Officer Dr Tawanda Matembo reaffirmed the company's commitment to expanding its property development portfolio, pledging to construct more residential properties to ensure that Zimbabweans have access to decent and affordable accommodation before 2030. The opening of Homelink Heights demonstrates the continued contribution of property development initiatives towards modernising urban settlements, improving living standards and supporting the country's national development objectives. **Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo!**
