The FT with a very helpful graph on understanding why diesel prices are high. Trump's got the wrong war in mind. ft.com/content/445b2856-a276…

No, we are mad that our President is siding with a war criminal who is invading its free and independent neighbor. We want a moral foreign policy.

Where is the US condemnation of attacks on Ukrainian civilians by the terrorist Putin?
The United States strongly condemns the recent attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the terrorist Houthis, including today’s strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh that took numerous innocent lives, including an American citizen.
These reprehensible attacks demonstrate a blatant disregard for innocent civilian life. They must stop now.
We stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people and extend our condolences to the victims and their families.

Extraordinary that Ukrainians should have the nerve to defend themselves in a way that interferes with Trump's business plans
How selfish can people get ?

Biden had gas at 3.10 and diesel at 3.70 when he left.
This isn’t fucking Ukraine’s fault diesel is 6 dollars.
It is Donald Trump’s stupid Iran war..

Congrats to the “conservatives” who have ushered in an era of:
-A pro-Putin administration;
-Superpower suicide;
-Crony socialism;
-live-streamed executions;
-losing a war to Iran;
-unprecedented corruption;
-vindictive prosecutions;
-A disastrous economy for the working class.

has been true from day one, but always worth reminding:
Russia bought an American president.
and got the Republican Party and "conservative" movement as part of the deal.

Listen up MAGA yokels☝️🇺🇸
Russia attacked Ukraine 4.5 years ago.
Russian oil was sanctioned since then.
Prices of diesel were fine in America.
Prices went up only after the war in Iran started.
Stop blaming Ukraine, Blame Trump and Corporations.

Republicans, if you can't part ways with Trump when he gives aid and comfort to our enemies and attacks our friends and allies, there truly is no hope left for you. You have sold your soul. Not only do you deserve to lose, you deserve to be drummed out of politics forever.
He's right.
It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day.
Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine.
As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia.
America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration.
Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Slava Ukraini🇺🇸🇺🇦

We need lower diesel prices for American farmers, ranchers and consumers, but buying Russian fuel is the wrong answer. Ukraine has been striking Russian refineries because they fuel and finance Putin’s illegal invasion. Putin is looking for a way to get the United States to pressure Ukraine to stop striking those refineries. I hope Ukraine continues to destroy Russia’s diesel production capacity. Congress overwhelmingly passed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia Act, and President Trump signed it into law. Now is the time to use those sanctions to squeeze Putin’s war machine, not reward a dictator by putting more money in his hands while he continues targeting and killing Ukrainian civilians.
‼️TRUMP: I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel.

The United States is now officially allied with Vladimir Putin and Russia. We will fund Russia’s genocidal war machine in exchange for Putin helping Trump and the Republican Party in the midterms. One of the most shameful and disgusting days in the history of this Republic.

70% of Americans support Ukraine. Propping up Putin’s war economy is morally wrong as he uses that money to bomb cities. The President’s policies towards Russia and Ukraine are failures. We need moral clarity not moral ambiguity.

With the norms of civility Trump has busted over the last decade with boorish behavior directed at scores of people, nothing anyone says about him is out of bounds. This is the world he created and he should have no expectation that he will be protected from its consequences.
Little Stevie nails this one. Pet Sounds didn’t chart well and received lukewarm reviews when released in the 60s. It wasn’t considered a masterpiece — wrongly in my opinion— until well into the 80s.
Everybody gets really pissed off when I say this and it causes World War III on Twitter, but what the hell. Everything said about Pet Sounds is true. For three songs. Wouldn't it be nice. Sloop John B. God Only Knows. Those three are amazing. Which is the pattern of all of the Beach Boys' albums when they are not including previously released tracks. The difference is these three songs are historic productions creatively, which had the wonderful unexpected result of pushing the Beatles to their greatest work. And that is obviously something the world can be grateful for. But all due respect to the masses that worship it, the rest of the album doesn't do a thing for me. There is no Beatles, Stones, Byrds, Kinks, or Who album that track for track doesn't have more great songs on it. It's not a close call. Having said that, the best thing about Art in general is it is the gift that keeps on giving, because one's perception of it changes from time to time. So maybe five years from now I will finally get it. Like everybody else.

There was no misuse: Covid mRNA vaccines saved 3.2 million American lives during the pandemic. Instead of 1.2 million Americans dying from Covid it would have been 4.4 million deaths. As it is 200,000-300,000 Americans died needlessly bc they refused Covid vaccines 2021-22. They were victims of a terrible disinformation campaign as detailed in our recent book #ScienceUnderSiege @MichaelEMann @PeterHotez

Despite its obvious misuse during Covid, mRNA has tremendous promise for curing diseases.
Artificial RNA essentially makes curing diseases a software problem.
