Can someone tell Mike Tirico that “46 years ago TO THE DAY” is not when team USA won gold at Lake Placid?

Did anyone else notice that @NYTGames decided to have some fun with the Wordle on Groundhog Day? Today’s answer was the first-ever Wordle word. To my knowledge, it’s the first time a repeat answer has been used. #YesImANerd

I like this for the Rockies so it permanently looks like they’re flying a distress signal.

With Bo Nix out for the season, Denver’s starting QB for next Sunday’s AFC Championship Game will be Jarrett Stidham. His backup now will be Sam Ehlinger.

The Colorado Rockies (43-119) finished this season with an attendance higher than when they won the pennant in 2007.

Sure, when the Bills and Eagles win four games in September they're "the best in the league" and "have a great shot at a championship." But when the Rockies win four games in September they're "trash"? #DoubleStandard

With their win tonight, the Rockies improve to 5-0 when riding an eight-game losing streak this season. Find me a more bizarre stat than that, @CespedesBBQ

Pirates hadn't scored 15+ since April 29, 2023. It took five innings for them to hit that mark today. I'm starting to think the Rockies might not be very good this season.

As frustrating as this season has been, it’s great to see ownership really listening to the fans’ requests for more Monforts in higher positions. Without the ability to give away $50M and a HOF third baseman again, this seems like the next-best move to make.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that President & Chief Operating Officer Greg Feasel, a member of the Rockies front office since 1995, will step down at the end of the 2025 season. As part of this transition, former Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Walker Monfort has moved into the role of executive vice president of the Rockies, effective immediately. He will lead the club alongside Feasel through the transition and will officially assume his responsibilities in January 2026.
