This is exactly why we organize! The ability to go to arbitration and win @KarenAttiah her job back only exists because of the strong @PostGuild collective bargaining agreement. No CBA, no arbitration, no reinstatement — just a company that got to make the call unchecked. Solidarity forever! ✊
Wearing @PostGuild red today. I was able to challenge my @washingtonpost firing — and win reinstatement plus back pay — all thanks to being a part of the @WBNG32035 Guild. Binding Arbitration is a part of our contract. This is why unions matter!!!

Will Lewis’s exit is long overdue. His legacy will be the attempted destruction of a great American journalism institution. But it's not too late to save The Post. Jeff Bezos must immediately rescind these layoffs or sell the paper to someone willing to invest in its future.

Today’s layoffs at @washingtonpost are a devastating setback for our profession. Every lost reporting job is one fewer set of eyes watching institutions that affect people’s daily lives. @PressClubDC & the Institute stand with all the journalists who lost their jobs.

There's always been a fight over the true story of America. I believe deeply in the story that says we’re all created equal, and that if we can treat each other with decency and respect, all of us will be better off.
