Salt Lake City is what everyone thinks Denver is. The metro sits right against the Wasatch. World-class ski resorts are 40 minutes from the airport, and many people live 10-15 minutes from the canyons. Better mountain access, better overall setup and, in my opinion, a better city.
Sub 2 is so insane. What an accomplishment! I’m expecting to see the floodgates open and several guys do this now, similar to when Roger Bannister went under the 4 min mile.
The human body is incredible.
This is spot on.
People & organizations respond to incentives. Bad teams are incentivized to tank to acquire the best players. Until the incentives change, tanking will NOT stop. The Jazz and other teams are doing EXACTLY what they should be doing based on current incentives.
.@WindhorstESPN gives the "tankers" a pass? 👀
"I'm giving the tankers a pass. ... They're incentivized to do this. Therefore, I am determining that these are good people who are good at their jobs having to make bad decisions."
I love that the Jazz are like, “You’re gonna complain that we actually play our guys and then pull them in the 4th quarter?! Ok, we’ll just do it how everyone else does then. Now the fans can enjoy our G-leaguers for the entire game.”
Smart move from the Jazz. I’m happy we’re committed to seeing this tank through. Looking forward to a fun year next year. Thanks @RyanQualtrics!
I reshare this nugget from James Clear at least once a week. The key to habit formation is consistently showing up and doing SOMETHING, even if it's small. If you can do that, the laws of compounding interest take over.
Just got back from Donut Day with my daughter at her school. 30 minutes of donuts, reading, and hanging out.
She showed me a class project she'd made about how she plans to “level up” this year:
• Get better at basketball (I’m her coach🙌)
• Start a habit: eat more fruit
• Motto: “I am Powerful” (our family values)
• New hobby: ice fishing? 😂
• Person who motivates her: my dad 🥹
Being a dad is the best. Truly nothing better.
I love videos like this. I’ve always been fascinated by what some of the world’s greatest cities looked like when they were just raw land, and how they slowly evolved into what they are today.
These time-lapses are so cool!
Final thoughts on BYU after the CCG:
-Super disappointing second half after going into the break only down 13-7. Bear getting hurt made our offense completely one dimensional and we just didn’t have enough against Tech’s defense.
-Tech is a phenomenal team with a legit chance to win the whole thing. Will be cheering hard for them.
-At the start of the season, after losing Retzlaff, I thought we’d be lucky to win 6-7 games. What a job by our coaches and players to create a season like this.
- We have a ton to look forward to. Kalani staying is massive. The additional NIL money will bring us even closer.
- We have some young and returning guys to be excited about next year: Bear, Satuala, Parker, Taumoepeau, and our best recruiting class ever.
- This still sucks.

BYU’s Jane Hedengren just beat the defending 5K and 10K national champion by 42 seconds head-to-head at regionals. FORTY-TWO SECONDS! We are witnessing greatness. 🏃♀️
Funny to see these 2 tweets back to back when I checked Twitter this evening to see how the Jazz were doing.
@danclayt0n @andyblarsen
How did we win this game?! The turnovers were the difference. Not our best game, but we played mostly clean football and didn’t beat ourselves.
The Women’s Ironman World Championship race was unreal today. Legendary race. But @IRONMANtri fumbled the broadcast again. We watched Taylor and Lucy for 8 hours and then got zero info on what happened to Taylor after her collapse. And they kept missing the passes. 🤦🏻♂️#imwc #kona
We need more political leaders like Spencer Cox. Thank you for your example @GovCox!
