Detroit, protect yourself and your loved ones. Wearing a mask can help reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses and protect those who are most vulnerable in our community. To help you stay safe, the Detroit Health Department is offering FREE MASKS while supplies last.

Detroit, we are experiencing extreme hazardous air conditions due to the spread of the Canadian wildfires. Please be sure to stay indoors, and wear a mask if you must travel outside.
These conditions can affect anyone, especially those with asthma, COPD, diabetes, and heart or lung disease.
N95 masks are available at the following recreation centers and DDOT transit centers:
Patton Recreation Center
Adams Butzel Recreation Center

📢 Some news from the personal desk: This is my last week at @Local4News.
It’s been a real privilege to work as a journalist in my hometown for more than a decade. I’m grateful for the incredible colleagues who made the long days (and nights) worth it.
Next week, I'm stepping into a new role as Digital and Creative Director in communications for Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield.
I'll be focused on how the city connects online, tells its stories, and engages with neighborhoods. detroitmi.gov/news/mayor-she…
Pretty sure the @ProFootballHOF got duped by a fake AI-generated news article posted on Nov. 27.
Media reports about Lem Barney are false. The #Lions legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer has *not* died, according to his sister, who I just spoke to.

Premium seating sections are killing the live Detroit sports experience. They are basically always empty at LCA, and now, they'll be empty at Comerica Park. Total vibe killer.
