Today marks the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War. 549 Scots volunteered to fight in Spain. Proportionally more Scots volunteered than from any other country We still have a lot of work to do in Scotland to tackle fascism, racism, and all forms of discrimination.

On 18th May 1840 Andrew Kerins was born in Balimote, County Sligo. Aged 15, he came to Glasgow. At 24, he joined the Catholic Marist Teaching Order and became Brother Walfrid. He formed a football club to feed the children of the East End. The rest is history 💚 @CelticFC – at Cambuslang, Scotland
