If you understand that going back 15 years, to the AWA and WWF, Hogan and Heenan always feuded. They never “got along” on camera to the point even those in the business thought they didn’t like each other. Heenan asking “whose side is he on?” is dead on for the character and exactly what he should have said, to the point Dusty and Schiavone no sold the comment cause “he has to be wrong”
I’m glad someone else feels the same about that Bash At The Beach comment from Heenan.
It was a damn near perfect moment in wrestling history, the only downside was that comment from Heenan.
Instead of ‘who side is hogan on’ he should’ve been jumping up and down calling for Nash and Hall to watch their backs as Hogan was coming down the aisle.
The people saying he didn’t give anything away are just looking at Heenan through rose tinted glasses. Even the best get it wrong sometimes.
