Brendan Devenney was asked a good few years ago if Michael Murphy was Donegal’s best player ever. “If you cut him in half, he’d be number one and two.” Nothing further, Your Honour

☘️🎶 Dea-scéal! Belfast City Council has tonight voted to bid to host Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann for a third consecutive year in 2028! This year’s Fleadh brought 1.6 million people to Belfast, with an incredible atmosphere on the streets of our city. With the Fleadh already set to return next year, here’s hoping we can make it three years in a row! 🎻

I'll be honest: I don't care. And I'm not alone. This place has no Budget and my constituents are fed up being told that DUP psychodrama is more important than their public services.

Let me get this right. You can be involved in racist pogroms, terrifying our migrant/refugee community or anyone deemed suspicious by racist agitators and effectively get away with it.

Jim Allister doesn’t want Unionist unity. Why? Because other unionists will hamper his need to be hatefully sectarian. His whole life has been driven by a psychological need to be visible. In NI that’s easy. Be more divisive and the media will lap it up. He’s a sad nasty little man…

I welcome the Irish Government’s announcement of this important step forward on the road to Irish unity. This is an opportunity we must seize. Preparations must now move forward with urgency, with the resources, ambition and inclusive approach needed to shape our shared future. This process must be inclusive from the outset, with everyone having a meaningful opportunity to contribute and have their say in shaping the future of our island.

Pengelly is blocking herself . Bryson and Lockhart have destroyed the DUP. It was predictable. They , the DUP have only themselves to blame .

Tomorrow, the British Prime Minister will host an economic summit in Glasgow alongside the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales. The DUP’s Emma Little-Pengelly has decided to block both herself and First Minister Michelle O’Neill from attending. This is reckless and irresponsible. This is a reactive stunt driven by the DUPs own internal pressures and electoral problems. The public should not pay the price. It is a missed opportunity to make the case for investment, jobs, a fair budget and nurses’ pay. Michelle has made clear to the British Secretary of State that locally elected Ministers are best placed to represent local interests. Our focus remains on delivering for people across every community.

The comments by DUP leader Gavin Robinson today were arrogant and supremacist. The DUP is consumed with their own internal leadership troubles and divisions. They are in turmoil. The days of domination and supremacy are over. The days of treating people like second class citizens are over. There will be no going back. Not now, and not ever. I, as First Minister, will be at the Assembly on Monday morning, along with Sinn Féin’s Ministers, to continue our work. We will keep showing up every day for people.
