These centres consume massive amounts of water and electricity. Noise exceeding 100 decibels disrupt animal behaviour, drive birds away and displace.

Today, the BJP government is bringing the DPDP Act, which will kill investigative journalism. Journalists may have to seek permission from the very people they want to investigate. It’s like asking a thief for permission to investigate their theft. Imagine if this Act had already been implemented - could The Indian Express have exposed vote theft?
