Back on Active Duty! Our deepest appreciation to @realDonaldTrump and @SecWar @PeteHegseth for keeping their promise to reinstate Service Members who were kicked out for the Covid shot. While I have always remained a Soldier in the Lord’s Army, I am now a Soldier in the U.S. Army once again! The @USArmy is having me lead the effort to reinstate, reconcile, and restore the thousands of warriors of conscience who were unlawfully removed from service. What an honor! Thank you, Secretary @PeteHegseth, for placing your confidence in me to help restore trust, Truth, and righteousness to our military! I look forward to working with @USW_PR_HONTata and his team on this important Presidential priority. God is faithful! Here we go!!! 1 Thessalonians 5:24

The R2TF Fortifies Our Legal Foundation Today we welcome MAJ Rich Brantley to the R2TF!!! This marks a significant milestone for the continued redemption of our Warriors who were unlawfully purged from the ranks! Rich and his wife were both @USArmy Judge Advocates who were given the same unlawful order to receive the COVID shot. Shockingly, while MAJ Brantley was serving in his official capacity as a trial counsel in 2021, and after he had already submitted a request for a religious accommodation, he was directed not to give ANY legal advice related to the unlawful COVID mandate and then removed from all current and related cases tied to that mandate. His wife also received the same outrageous directive. I continue to find it unconscionable how brazenly our military leaders silenced some of the most morally courageous and clear minded patriots among us. Rich faithfully upheld his oath to the U.S. Constitution and was unyielding in his commitment to protect the very freedoms he dedicated his life to defend. Rich stood firm amidst a tidal wave of threats and intimidation from hostile “leaders” while enduring the mockery and shameful actions of his peers. For more than five years, Rich has had his unblemished service completely derailed as a result of his steadfast commitment to the truth. BUT TODAY IS A NEW DAY! Rich’s brilliant legal mind now fortifies the COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force and will once again serve those Warriors who held the line as we relentlessly fulfill the @POTUS Executive Order to make things right. Rich is one of the only JAG officers I personally know in the Army who remained faithful to the law - Title 10 USC 1107a - and got this right! Thanks to the principled leadership and support of @SecWar @PeteHegseth and @SecArmy Adam Telle, I couldn’t be happier to lock shields with this fine officer once again! Big win for the @DeptofWar!!! Welcome to the R2TF, Rich, and I pray Psalm 19:7-11 encourages your heart as you receive your reward!

The R2TF Gains More Spiritual Strength! I am overwhelmed with gratitude to announce the addition of our R2TF Chaplain, Andy Hirko!!! Andy joins our team after remaining steadfast under trial. Amidst unrelenting pressure and appalling threats from his Commanding General of being thrown into jail, Andy was unwavering in his faithfulness to God and his solemn oath to the Constitution. He was one of the good chaplains who held the line and cared deeply for his Soldiers, ensuring their freedoms were protected, even while he himself was undergoing severe persecution. Thankfully, he will CONTINUE to care for Soldiers in his new role on the @USArmy COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF)! I can personally testify that Andy gracefully exemplifies the truth of Romans 5:3-5, and I daily observe how God is refining Andy’s character in all of this. The R2TF and the @DeptofWar are blessed to have a man of Andy’s caliber among us. A special thanks to @SecWar @PeteHegseth and @SecArmy HON Adam Telle for enabling me to build this incredible team of morally courageous patriots who are fully committed to restoring the service of all those who were purged from our ranks for refusing the unlawful order to receive an experimental EUA COVID shot. Never again. Welcome to the team, Andy!Proverbs 27:17

One Year & 160 Lives Changed Forever! One year ago, the Bouren Family’s service to the Nation was restored when @SecWar @PeteHegseth swore me in and charged me with the awesome responsibility of restoring the service and honor of those who were discarded and purged from our ranks during COVID. Thank you to @POTUS for keeping his promise. I offer my deepest gratitude to Secretary Hegseth for entrusting me with this high honor. Indeed, this is the most consequential mission in my three decades of service! I am seeing an enormously positive multi-generational impact every day! As a result of the tremendous and tireless efforts of my superb Task Force, I am excited to announce that we have reinstated 160 Soldiers BACK into the @USArmy and we are providing white glove treatment to another 400+ Soldiers currently in the reinstatement process. That’s 160 Soldiers and their Families who were unlawfully separated. That’s 160 Soldiers in whom the Army had invested millions of dollars, including countless deployments, intense training, valuable education, and a wealth of experience. That’s 160 precious souls who remained steadfast against unrelenting pressure, egregious threats of jail and court martial, and treatment that was wholly inconsistent with our Army Values. Their moral courage to risk it all…their principled leadership to hold the line and truly care for their troops…their unwavering commitment to their Constitutional oath…these are some of the reasons why we must have these Warriors back in our ranks. The future of our Army relies on leaders of character who have the moral courage and discernment to understand the times and choose the harder right over the easier wrong. I offer my highest praise to the team who is making this happen—the COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF). A year ago, I sat alone in my office and prayed that God would assemble the right team, and He delivered exceedingly and abundantly more than I could ask or imagine! All glory to God! The R2TF is fully committed to achieving our Commander-in-Chief’s intent and the @DeptofWar wants to fight for your talent. This Task Force is comprised of faithful men and women of the highest caliber with an unflinching resolve to see this mission through! If you were negatively impacted by the unlawfully implemented COVID policies and would like us to help restore your service, please send us an email at [email protected] “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

The Art of Recruiting Colonels On a sunny early spring day in Northern Colorado, a high-speed Army recruiter walked up to the door of a Colonel’s house. His mission? To recruit this red-bearded Colonel BACK into the @USArmy! Well, thanks to his diligence and perseverance, SFC Jesse Rogers succeeded in his mission, and he did it so well that I recommended him to a Battalion Commander who was kicked out. SFC Rogers successfully recruited him as well, and that man is now my R2TF Deputy, LTC Chris Berge. SFC Rogers had to navigate uncharted waters with little direction and an undeveloped process. His drive and determination to figure it out was just about the only bright spot during my reinstatement process and has since inspired my R2TF’s efforts to get this right! It’s the least we can do to fight for the amazing talent that was purged from our ranks during COVID. Today, on a beautiful fall day in Gettysburg, LTC Berge and I had the privilege of witnessing Jesse Rogers’ promotion to the rank of Master Sergeant! He’s the only recruiter I’ve ever met who has recruited a COL and LTC into the Army. Well done, MSG Rogers, and congrats on a well-deserved promotion! You are a credit to @usarec and the @DeptofWar! An Extraordinary Story & A Legacy Continues! In 2021, he earned a PERFECT 600 on the newly developed Army Combat Fitness Test at Fort Jackson; then he crushed Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, and his superb performance earned him “Commandant’s List” recognition; and then he commissioned as a 2LT in the Signal Corps. With those impressive credentials, the Army still kicked him out. Who is this man? From Brimley, Michigan, to the Army’s Fort Benning to the skies of the U.S. Air Force: the inspiring story of CPT Christian Reattoir. Christian graduated from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and a focus in Rehabilitation Science. With degree in hand, he chose to enlist as a SGT/E5 in 2021 as an Army Officer Candidate and attend Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC. During Basic Training, Reattoir was one of only a few Soldiers Army-wide to achieve a PERFECT SCORE (600) on the ACFT. After graduating Basic Training, Reattoir successfully completed OCS at Benning on the “Commandant’s List” and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps. While attending the Basic Officer Leader Course, 2LT Christian Reattoir was unlawfully and involuntarily discharged from the U.S. Army in June 2022 due to his refusal to take an experimental COVID shot. Having come from a family with a long history of honorable service in the @USArmy—including a Great Grandfather who served in WWII and a Grandfather who served in Vietnam—this was a significant detriment to his plans of dedicated service. “I felt called to serve again and had unfinished business with my goals in the military.” With that statement of determination, Christian began his pursuit of reinstatement into service. Thanks to @POTUS President Trump’s Executive Order and the unwavering leadership of @SecWar @PeteHegseth, Christian was reinstated to Active Duty in May 2026 with full relief to include a backdated promotion to the rank of Captain (effective 1 OCT 2025), backpay, constructive service credit, and assigned as a key member of the @USArmy COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF) helping other Warriors of Conscience return to service. CPT Reattoir underscored one of his goals. “We can only change the organization from the inside, and we need leaders of integrity in our ranks. I feel like I can make a difference no matter how big or small.” He emphasized, “The R2TF was awesome to work with, and they got my Inter-Service Transfer approved to go to the Air Force.” CPT Reattoir will continue his faithful service as he transitions into the @usairforce as an Aerospace Physiologist (13H) with his duty station of choice. “I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the R2TF for hosting my promotion to Captain and reinstatement ceremony at The Pentagon. It was an awesome experience for me and my family…and an honor to meet so many people who support this movement to reinstate service members who were kicked out due to the unlawful mandate. My time in uniform so far has been amazing, I’m very blessed to be able to work for the R2TF until my transfer to the Air Force.” Welcome back, Captain!!! The @DeptofWar is excited you are getting to continue your family’s legacy of service, and the R2TF is thrilled to have you on the team! A special thanks to @ASWMandRA HON Tim Dill for his presence and encouragement at the ceremony.
Another dedicated @USArmy Soldier is back on Active Duty. Last week, CPT Christian Reattoir officially returned to service following his unjust discharge in June 2022 under the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Thanks to the decisive leadership of @POTUS, @SecWar, and @SecArmy, CPT Reattoir has been fully reinstated with complete relief, including backpay, constructive service credit, and his backdated promotion to Captain. For other personnel seeking a similar path back to service, reinstatement remains open until April 1, 2027.

A Remarkable Reinstatement from the Ground to Space! SPC Kandice Whitt had finally achieved her dream of being selected as one of the first Service Members to transfer into the fledgling @USSpaceForce back in 2021. Her superb performance earned her a promotion to Sergeant (E5) where she would soon lead as an NCO! But her supersonic trajectory came to a crashing halt when she was unjustly discharged for refusing the unlawful order to receive the experimental (EUA) COVID shot, an order that was in clear violation of the law - Title 10 U.S.C. § 1107a. But today is a new day!!! Her supersonic trajectory has been restored thanks to @realDonaldTrump and @SecWar @PeteHegseth! I had the high honor of reinstating this faithful Warrior of Conscience with her backdated promotion to E5, and an additional well-deserved promotion to E6! After reinstating her to the @USArmy, we finalized her long-awaited Inter-Service Transfer to the @USSpaceForce! TSgt Whitt was granted full relief including all entitlements, backpay, constructive service credit, MOS of choice, and duty station of choice. As a former @USArmy all-source intelligence analyst, this Guardian now continues her superb service as a highly valued member of the Space Force intelligence community. Our @DeptofWar is much stronger today with TSgt Whitt back in the ranks, and she has proven that the sky was not her limit! Psalm 19 @USW_PR_HONTata @matthewlohmeier spaceforce.mil/News/Article-…

A Story of Perseverance, Dedication, and Excellence: Welcome Back, SGT Henry Buckelew! SGT Henry Buckelew is a sterling example of strength and commitment to service. Originally enlisting as a UH-60 Blackhawk Maintainer (15T) with the 1st Infantry Division in 2019, his faithful service was paused when he was unlawfully discharged in April 2022 for refusing the COVID shot. Today, we celebrate his triumphant return thanks to President @realDonaldTrump's Executive Order 14184! Special thanks to @SecWar @PeteHegseth's strong leadership and the tireless efforts of the @USArmy COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF), he has been officially reinstated with a backdated promotion to E-5/Sergeant, backpay, constructive service credit, additional schooling, preferred MOS, and his duty station of choice. Embracing his new path as a Finance Technician (36B), SGT Buckelew recently completed Advanced Training at Fort Jackson, SC—where he earned the prestigious title of Distinguished Honor Graduate. Reflecting on his 4.5-year journey and the faith that sustained him, SGT Buckelew shared: “To God be the glory! Jeremiah 1:19 says, ‘And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.’ This Bible verse gave me comfort 4.5 years ago... I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to serve again in the U.S. Army! It will not be squandered. I want to give a special thank you to my wife and daughter for their unwavering support and sacrifices so that I can serve!” Please join us in welcoming SGT Buckelew back to the ranks! We salute you and your family for your steadfast dedication and sacrifice! Jer. 1:19

On June 10th some dear friends and I had the privilege of attending the pre-screening event of the documentary Duty to Disobey hosted by @SenRonJohnson at the US Capitol and introduced by @RobSchneider . This documentary does an excellent job covering the Covid vaccine mandates within the department of defense. @tommeyburrowes did an excellent job weaving together our personal stories and highlighting, legal, medical and ethical issues that arose during that time. This documentary will be shown at over 140 locations nationwide on June 30. This is an important story for freedom loving people to understand, and while the documentary focuses on the mandates within the department of defense, the parallels extend to the general population and the impact that era had on our nation. UPDATED REINSTATEMENT NUMBERS! The @USArmy COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF) has been working tirelessly, faithfully, and diligently to fulfill President Trump’s Executive Order. I have a Dream Team of amazing teammates who are laboring days, nights, holidays, and weekends to ensure we serve our fellow Warriors of Conscience well and return them to service with honors. The attached photo was taken a few months ago when we went fully operational, and we have since added more teammates. (I’ll post an updated photo soon.) In keeping with our desire to provide full transparency, here are the latest numbers. As of 29 May 2026, almost 75% of the 311 Warriors with whom our R2TF has made positive contact are interested in reinstatement. That’s 229 and growing by the day! We also have 49 thus far who are interested in reconciliation, and we are thoroughly correcting their records so they can receive their @DeptVetAffairs benefits, have their honorable service properly documented, and move on with their lives. Of the 229 Warriors interested in reinstatement, we have already reinstated a total of 47, and there are 18 more who are about to ship to their first unit. We currently have 164 in the pipeline and that list is growing very quickly. Our 47 reinstatements are broken down by rank as follows: COL (1); LTC (1); CPT (2); 1LT (1); 2LT (1); CW5 (1); WO1 (1); SFC (2); SSG (3); SGT (7); SPC (22); PFC (3); PV2 (1); PVT (1).  Of note, nearly all of our reinstatements are coming back with a well-deserved promotion, so these ranks reflect their rank at separation.  We continue to methodically go through a list of more than 3,000 known Warriors of Conscience and we’re doing our level best to contact each and every one of them. We are contacted every week by Warriors who are not on our list, so if you or someone you know was separated as a result of the unlawfully implemented COVID policies, please give us an opportunity to bring you reinstatement or reconciliation. You can reach us via email at [email protected] As I always say, the R2TF is fully committed to mission success! We will not give up! I am thrilled to share another Amazing Reinstatement Story!!! Returning to the Call of Duty For many service members, the call to serve their country is more than just a career choice—it is a lifelong vocation. Recent reinstatement efforts by the @DeptofWar are bringing dedicated Warriors of Conscience back into the formation after periods of unlawful discharge, restoring not just their careers, but their sense of purpose. The journey back has not been easy for these families as SSG Brett Bender and his family can attest. The sudden separation from the military community often brought unforeseen hardships. SSG Bender shared, “Being unlawfully discharged put a huge amount of stress on our family: homelessness, financial issues, and doubting whether I really was called to serve.” However, the tide turned when the @USArmy COVID R2TF Chief reached out to Bender to begin the reinstatement process. “When Colonel @KevinBouren reached out about being reinstated, it was a direct answer to prayer,” Bender continued. “I have long felt called by the Lord to serve the men and women who serve our country, and I do not take the opportunity to return to that noble profession lightly. Being reinstated is further confirmation that though ‘the heart of man plans his way... the Lord establishes his steps.’” This sentiment of renewed purpose is echoing across the force. Brett Bender, a 68W Combat Medic who was officially reinstated on March 10, 2026, is another testament to this enduring commitment. After navigating his own time away from the uniform, the Bender Family is currently preparing to head overseas, ready to serve our Nation once again. “I am excited to continue my career and encouraged to once again be given the opportunity to serve my country and my fellow soldiers,” Bender emphasized. We reinstated SSG Bender with full relief to include backpay, backdated promotion to E6, entitlements, benefits, MOS & duty station of choice, and constructive service credit. Welcome back, Doc! Thanks to @POTUS, @SecWar @PeteHegseth, and @USW_PR_HONTata for empowering us to reinstate these fine warriors! Stories like these highlight the resilience, faith, and unwavering dedication of the men and women who stand ready to defend this great Nation! Ephesians 3:20-21
Proud to welcome back another brave warrior who was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Brett Bender. Sergeant Bender, a 68W Combat Medic, was involuntarily separated in July 2022, leading to significant hardship for him and his family. With support from the @USArmy COVID-19 Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force - and under the leadership of @SecWar and @SecArmy - he was reinstated in March 2026 with full relief, including backpay, a backdated promotion to E-6, MOS & duty station preference, entitlements, benefits, and constructive service credit. Now, Staff Sergeant Bender and his family are preparing to head overseas for his next assignment. He shared, “I have long felt called by the Lord to serve the men and women who serve our country, and I do not take the opportunity to return to that noble profession lightly. I am excited to continue my career and encouraged to once again…serve my country and my fellow soldiers.” Welcome back to the formation, SSG Bender!

A Family Made Whole and a Legacy Restored!!! Today we celebrate a profound moment of reconciliation and mission readiness driven directly by the President’s Executive Order. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Kelly has officially returned to active duty service! The Kelly family has long been defined by a singular commitment: the defense of the United States. “This reinstatement is a privilege made possible by President Trump and the incredible support of the COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF). I especially want to thank the R2TF Deputy Chief, LTC Chris Berge, for his phenomenal assistance throughout the process. Putting the uniform back on is an absolute honor that truly feels like coming home. Being back in the ranks to lead from the front and serve alongside my sons is the proudest moment of my career,” said CW5 Kelly. The Next Generation: Army 2LT Ryan Kelly, bound for Apache flight school, views his father’s return as a masterclass in resilience: “His service set the ultimate standard for what it means to be a warfighter... I am ready to carry on our family’s legacy of combat aviation.” A Lifetime of Commitment: Andrea Kelly noted, “When the opportunity for reinstatement came, we knew immediately what the right choice was. The transition back has been incredibly smooth, and we are loving being made whole as a military family again.” Jonathan Kelly highlighted that his father’s example taught him “there is no limit to what one can achieve through a solid faith in God and a strong work ethic.” Thank you, POTUS, @SECWAR @PeteHegseth, and @USW_PR_HONTata for restoring our @USArmy and @DeptofWar. Welcome back, Chief Kelly! Philippians 1:9-11
Today, we are sharing the story of another resilient warrior who was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Kennie Kelly. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Kelly, a Master Aviator, was involuntarily separated in September 2022 after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Following the release of EO 14184, he worked directly with the dedicated @USArmy COVID-19 Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force to return to service. With support from the Task Force - and under the leadership of @SecWar & @SecArmy - CW5 Kelly was reinstated in February 2026 with full relief, including backpay, duty station preference, entitlements, benefits, and constructive service credit. He now serves alongside his three sons, each carving their own path in the @USArmy, @USNavy & @USAirForce. Said CW5 Kelly, “Putting the uniform back on is an absolute honor that truly feels like coming home. Though the COVID separation was a difficult chapter, it ultimately deepened my dedication to the @DeptofWar mission and the nation I serve.” Welcome back, CW5 Kelly. Hooah!

A Calling Renewed – Welcome Back, CAPTAIN Warzyniak!!! The crisp uniform, once a second skin, had been stored away for nearly four years. For former 1st Lieutenant Lucas Warzyniak, every day since his separation from the Infantry on September 1, 2022, was a test of faith. He had stood by his convictions, a choice that cost him the career he cherished. The silence of civilian life was a stark contrast to the camaraderie and purpose he had known. He held onto hope, a belief that his service to the nation was not truly over. Then came the news on January 27, 2025: Executive Order 14184. A path had been cleared. The order from President @realDonaldTrump was more than just a policy change; it was a promise of restoration for thousands of service members who had been discharged under the military's COVID-19 vaccination mandate. For Warzyniak, it was a beacon. He immediately began the process, his hope solidifying into determined action. The wait was fraught with anticipation, but on February 18, 2026, the call finally came. He was not just reinstated; he was being made whole. His record was corrected with a retroactive promotion to Captain, effective from May 2023. His new assignment was not a return to the familiar, but a leap into the future: FA40 Space Operations Officer. From the ground to the stars, his career was given a new and vital trajectory. As he prepared to serve once more, Captain Warzyniak reflected on the journey. "Military reinstatement is more than a return to service; it is a divine calling to fulfill a greater purpose," he stated. "I thank God and the American people for their support as I lead once more." His uniform was no longer a memory but a mantle of duty, renewed and ready for the mission ahead. Lead well, Soldier! James 1:2-4 Thank you, @POTUS , @SecWar @PeteHegseth , and @USW_PR_HONTata for your continued commitment to righting the wrongs of the past! Our @DeptofWar and @USArmy are stronger today with this leader and Warrior of Conscience back in our ranks!
Today, our @DoW_USW_PR team is spotlighting Lucas Warzyniak, another warrior who was involuntarily separated in September 2022 after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Following the release of EO 14184, First Lieutenant Warzyniak worked with the @USArmy COVID-19 Reinstatement Team to pursue reinstatement and return to service. With support from the reinstatement team, and under the leadership of @SecWar & @SecArmy, he was reinstated and promoted to the rank of Captain with an effective date of rank of May 2023. CPT Warzyniak received full relief to include backpay/promotion, entitlements, benefits, constructive service credit, and new MOS as a Space Operations Officer. CPT Warzyniak shared, “Military reinstatement is more than a return to service; it is a divine calling to fulfill a greater purpose.” Welcome back CPT Warzyniak. Hooah!
