I'm excited to keep working hard on TanStack Table and make even greater time commitments to it going forward.
My TanStack Table documentation rewrite is about 3/4ths of the way done and we'll keep working on making the best lean and mean tools for building powerful data grids.
💖 I'm sponsoring @KevinVanCott because he GOAT'd on @Tan_Stack Table!!!

I thought getting TanStack DB to 1.0 would take a few weeks of bug fixing. It took months, hundreds of PRs, and 420,000 lines of new tests, because our oracles kept turning up new classes of bugs.
TanStack DB 1.0 RC1 is out today.
Look at all of those 1.0 announcements!
And at least 1 or 2 more are on the way very soon. So proud of the tanstack maintainers building truly special libraries.

It's been a year of lots of learnings while working on TanStack Hotkeys. The first alpha from back in February simplified a lot of complexity around setting up keyboard shortcuts correctly, but of course, we were only scratching the surface.
After dozens of bug fixes and streamlining all the features, I think the project is in a very good place now!
Yesterday, I merged our largest breaking change for TanStack Hotkeys during our alpha period. The useHotkeySequence, useHotkeySequences, and useHotkeySequenceRecorder hooks are removed. The normal useHotkey hooks just accept sequences now.
This makes it much easier to let sequence bindings live among the rest of your hotkeys without having to add special code and considerations just for them.
Later today, @riccardoperra0 and I will be joining @devagrawal09 and @ajcwebdev on a stream to talk about TanStack Table V9, and maybe a little bit about TanStack Pacer and Hotkeys too youtube.com/watch?v=YxFvNxwX…

Tan Stack is the framework. Don't sleep on this.
Using it in @ByteBinding (a desktop app) and absolutely loving it. Going to use it for something really special in the future, too.

I'm just dumbstruck at how good TanStack AI is.
It's well thought out from top to bottom. Superb work

I am looking for my next career opportunity!
I'm Corbin Crutchley; an engineering leader, consultant, author, and open-source maintainer.
Previously as a VP of Eng, I've sped up engineering efforts for companies. My teams rework large-scale systems while building new features at the same time.
You may also know of my OSS projects (@tan_stack & others) or my books (@playful_program).
Roles I'm looking for:
- CTO / VP of Engineering for small/medium companies
- Staff+ Engineering roles, esp developer tooling
- Consulting gigs
Likewise, if your project is particularly challenging and / or complex, let's talk.
Know of a good role for me? Book some time on my website or reach out in direct messages:

TanStack Charts 1.0 is here 🎉
Small bundles, fast updates, and charts you don’t have to outgrow.
Start with a line and see where it takes you, or just simply tell your agent to "use Tanstack Charts"!

TanStack Pacer is getting close to 1.0
Hopefully stable by the end of the month! If you want to influence any changes, now is the time to take a look and give feedback.
Most improvements I'm focusing on will be improving the queuing and batching util ergonomics.
TypeScript 7.1 is going to feel like the real TypeScript 7 release to me. Can't wait for Svelte, Vue, Angular, and Octane (TSRX) to work natively with TS Go!
The TanStack Vue Table adapter is our first non-react framework adapter to cross 1M downloads per week. The Vue TanStack Query adapter is not far behind either.
TanStack is definitely for more than just the React ecosystem!

Last year, Anthropic was optimizing inference across 3 different types of compute (Nvidia, AWS trainium, Google tpus). There were mistakes made during these optimizations that resulted in actual degradation. Initially Anthropic denied it, but eventually they found, fixed and explained what happened. There have been no notable instances of degradation since.
Sadly, this one instance has made half of tech twitter’s brains fall out.
Separately, there’s the statistics side. You’re more likely to see the stupid spikes over longer windows.
If a model has a 1/50 chance of doing weird shit, and you do 20 prompts a day, there’s a ~30% chance you’ll have encountered weird shit on day 1.
By day 5, it’s closer to a 90% chance 🙃
Tl;dr, people are stupid, don’t understand non-determinism, and it happened once so they feel righteous
I shipped a rather large update to TanStack Hotkeys yesterday, which adds much better physical key support options, instead of mostly relying on event.key with only event.code fallbacks like before.
This was an overdue correction that was needed!
The string templates still use event.key matching by default, but now, if you want to force a physical key check, you can just use `[]` around a physical key code, like the screenshot down below.
Hotkey recording now defaults to physical key recording in order to fix multiple bugs across different layouts. This is configurable.
From my testing, if you define hotkeys with our initial event.key string templates, you should actually have a pretty safe setup already. It's really the custom hotkey recording features that add a lot of complexity and bugs, and now I think we're closer to addressing those issues with this latest update.
Would love people to try this out and help report remaining issues with TanStack Hotkeys before we move to beta.
It's been a while since I talked about TanStack Hotkeys, but I'm considering several major rewrites of the library.
I'm working on a new Hotkey UX system at a new job and have run into several new limitations.
TanStack Hotkeys is an alpha, so breaking changes wouldn't be surprising, but man... we're already nearing 700k downloads per week... Maybe we should just alpha tag new releases for a while IDK.
