Wrote about this last year
Revealing comment from #Steelers LB Elandon Roberts. Noticed on film Saints QB Tyler Shough wasn't making checks himself - HC Kellen Moore relayed them in.
So Steelers defense stayed static until < 15 seconds when playcallers can't talk to QB. Two examples of it below. First one, Patrick Queen runs into A-gap w/ 14 seconds and Saints run right into him.

Watching the game again. Man, Shough is a tough ass dude. Broken hand. Battling. Taking big-ass hits because they needed him to take big-ass hits to fight back. Box-score scouting won't do this one justice. The film tells a story.

Crazy how @nick_underhill and @MikeTriplett take the gloves off on a Sunday night and by Tuesday night we have Gayle talking extra spicy and bottom of roster guys who make huge mistakes are cut. All that family talk is cool, but itβs a results based industry.

I'm told Sean Payton and Steve Gleason will join the ManningCast for Saints-Falcons Domecoming anniversary

While Penei struggled vs. Young in pass pro, signaling 1) how good Young is! 2) it'll take some time to retrain his body from RT-to-LT, his impactful run blocking translated right away. Cool to see 3 Trent BS snatches and of course elite play strength in the last clip

Three sets of joint practices and still come out flat. Their advantage was supposed to be that work. Whole offense looks off.
