This is a big income opportunity for Indonesia to be honest. Too bad Bahlil guy is extremely bad at managing the energy scarcity. I think i can do a better job than all Indonesian ministers combined
Singapore has been turning to Indonesia to house data center projects. But locals are pushing back in the face of water shortages and power outages.

After looking at most countries I kinda realise I’m fortunate to be a Singaporean 🫠. Though I don’t really walk around with my head held high
I’d be pissed scared if I was sitting across the table across Shanmugam. This guy does things you wouldn’t be able to imagine
Yet, Indonesian government still sleeping.
Singapore negara kecil, tapi harus gw akui nyali & diplomasi pemerintah mereka segunung. Disclaimer dulu yaa gw bukan ingin memihak Singapore tetapi gw cuman ngomongin faktanya
Not gonna happen in my country 😭😭😭
Me ragebaiting Indonesians on threads that Indonesia will have to give up their land to pay up debts to Singapore
Indonesians: Yes please come claim us!
🙃 it’s that bad huh?
Indonesia decision makers are one of a kind stupid I swear to god.

Indonesia is shooting themselves in the foot by breaching contract in my opinion.
After seeing this, nobody would want to invest there. Could’ve at least discuss it with us.
Singapore should make this news international.
Let the world understand that the Indonesian government does not honour contracts.
At a time when foreign investors are leaving Indonesia in droves , this will be a timely reminder why they should leave even more quickly , and even before MSCI downgrades Indonesia to the same level as Zimbabwe.
This is not good for Indonesian citizens , nor for regional ASEAN cooperation.
Whether it’s the haze or energy , good neighbours should work closely together.
For example , Indonesia supplies Singapore with gas , but Singapore supplies Indonesia with 40% of its refined oil products. Including crucially , petrol (gasoline).
But Singapore honours international business contracts , and there will be no retaliation on that front.
Indonesia never had any capable governance throughout history as far as i know. The current one is an icing on the cake.
There are some insane accusations floating around Indonesia...
According to Indonesia's former trade minister, Temasek and GIC (Singapore's two state funds) have been "working behind the scenes" to get MSCI to downgrade Jakarta.
These are massive allegations.
Temasek replied affirming that these claims have "no basis", are "patently untrue" and "no one from Temasek has ever reached out to MSCI in order to influence any decisions."
GIC dismissed it too.
And remember when Indonesia said that they might not renew gas contracts? How neighbouring states shouldn't "come begging"?
Well yesterday Singapore asked 10 locally registered firms for information as it widens its probe into the Indonesian fires sending haze over SEA.
So basically, Jakarta went from "our market is full of shells" to "Singapore did this" in LESS THAN A WEEK!
I think we can agree that blaming a neighbour is what you do when you know you've fucked up.
Indonesia has truly failed its people.
Malaysian minister reply vs Indonesian.
Indonesian ministers are extremely unprofessional.

Indonesian former Minster of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi, challenged our Singapore Ministers to prosecute the companies.
We will. Even though one must wonder at the audacity of passing the buck to Singapore.
Don’t forget the holding companies might be in Singapore , but the operating subsidiaries are in Indonesia.
And the fires are happening IN INDONESIA.
Even though the chance of Singapore stopping the fires by prosecuting the holding companies are low, we will proceed , not least because some punishment is needed.
But this misses the main point Lutfi is actually making.
Besides passing the buck to Singapore , he is sore that many Indonesian companies have chosen to list in Singapore instead of Indonesia.
Sore that most of the wealthy Indonesia (including many of his friends) choose to live in Singapore instead of Jakarta.
He is sore that Indonesian conglomerates choose to book their profits in Singapore instead of Indonesia.
He posted another video blaming Singapore (Min Grace Fu was shown) for Indonesia’s stock market collapse in the last few days. He even insinuates that it is Singapore (GIC) that pushed for Indonesia to be downgraded by the MSCI to standalone market status.
Ridiculous assertions of a sore loser.
As usual, Indonesia officials use Singapore as the bogeyman , whenever something bad happens. When their incompetence causes haze to Singapore and Malaysia, they turn the narrative on us instead.
We will not be bullied.
If Singapore and Malaysia were afraid , we would have surrendered during Konfrontasi.
We did not surrender then.
We will not surrender now.
