If I hear MY child’s bad ass bff didn’t get a cupcake to celebrate HER birthday because YOU said so, I’d have a problem too. You can control YOUR classroom incentives, not a birthday. He’s wrong.
If I know I can’t spend $500 on a party, but for $20 my child can feel celebrated by all the kids in their class, that’s what I’m going to do.
If I know I can’t afford a $20 gift, or gas to drive to my child’s BFF party, a class party does the job too!
