There’s a word more Americans need to understand: TAQIYYA.
It’s an Islamic concept that permits someone to conceal their religious beliefs, identity, or practices when facing persecution or serious danger.
It’s rooted in interpretations of the Quran, including verses 3:28 and 16:106.

Poland has deported nine Pakistani nationals who entered the country illegally from Belarus.
According to Pakistani press reports, the men were flown out of Kraków-Balice airport on June 29.
They were put on a Polish military transport aircraft.
The Polish Border Guard reportedly said all nine had enforceable return orders.
They were found without valid residence documents.
Officials say they had crossed the Poland-Belarus border in violation of immigration rules.
The nine men were named in the report, which described the case as part of Poland's ongoing return operations.
Three of the men reportedly spoke about the toll the journey took on their families.
They said the trip had been sold to them as an easy route into the European Union.
They also warned others not to trust agents who describe Belarus as a simple path to Europe.
The report did not say who the agents were, how much the men paid, or how long they stayed in Belarus or Poland.
It called for an investigation into who recruited them and whether the same people are still approaching families.
Poland has carried out similar flights before, including one in February 2026 that removed 25 Pakistani citizens.
Some of these returns have drawn criticism from rights groups, who question whether the migrants were given a fair chance to apply for protection.
Poland says it is enforcing its border laws.
