THE GULF: Needless to say there are many, many questions about the weather for the Gulf Coast, and for Alabama this weekend.
NHC now gives the disturbance in the far southwest Gulf a 70% chance of developing into a depression or storm. And almost all of the reliable guidance brings the system northward in the direction of the central Gulf Coast. 
Inevitably, this will mean lots of rain this weekend for parts of the coast and the Deep South. But a word of caution… It is still simply too early to know how much rain will fall in any given location, and when the rain starts and stops.
Once the system becomes better organized, and we gather data from hurricane hunters, forecast confidence becomes much higher. Stay tuned for updates…

Tara Strong says Teen Titans fans deserve a comeback 20 years after the show ended 🥹
Tara Strong pointed out that the original Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! could coexist because they serve very different purposes. Teen Titans Go! leans heavily into comedy, while the original series told a more serialized story that still had plenty of room to continue.
And longtime fans have one particularly big reason for wanting that return: the original series never received a completely satisfying conclusion.
The fifth season ended with the Titans defeating the Brotherhood of Evil, but the series’ final episode, “Things Change,” left several major questions unresolved, most notably the mystery surrounding Terra and her relationship with Beast Boy.
That open-ended finale has kept fans debating the show's ending for years and helped fuel the desire for a proper continuation.
The original Teen Titans ended in 2006 after five seasons, but its characters and storylines have remained beloved by the generation that grew up with Cartoon Network.
Season 6 has not been confirmed, but Tara Strong’s comments are a reminder that the Titans still have a passionate audience waiting for that unfinished story to continue. ❤️⚡

From NWS Birmingham: We have confirmed that a female suffered symptoms consistent with a lightning strike in the Publix Parking lot in Alabaster this afternoon at about 1:48 PM. She was transported to a local hospital.
We observed two negatively-charged lightning strikes in the vicinity of Publix and Zaxby's that both occurred at 1:45 pm CDT. “
