𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝟐-𝟏 𝐖𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 • Another win at home for the terriers who make it 3 wins from 3 in the last week, seeing off Wigan Athletic in today’s early kick off. Goals in either half from Bronkhorst and Sanches Fernandes ensures we jump into the top spot in League One! • A dominant first half display deservedly saw us take the lead into the break but we at times struggled in the second half. That was of course until that man Sanches Fernandes took matters into his own hands and secured the win when slotting home his one on one opportunity. • Wigan got one back late on but it was only a consolation as we deservedly take all three points this afternoon. We probably deserved a clean sheet too which will disappoint the defenders and Drury of course. • MOTM goes to Joe Low. Out of the team for a long time and seemingly falling into our 4th/5th choice centre back, he’s stepped up when it’s needed due to injuries. Today he was solid defensively and offered a threat from set pieces too. Honourable mentions to a few out there such as Roughan, Humphreys and Sanches Fernandes. UTT 🔵⚪️ #HTAFC

Sean Roughan the first to take in the applause from the Cowshed after the terriers see off Wigan Athletic in today’s early kick off. Huddersfield momentarily too of League One! 🔵⚪️ #HTAFC

Goal Wigan 2-1 Young possibly could of caught the cross into the box but chooses to punch it. Wigan maintain possession in our box before curling one into the top corner and the visitors have one back. 20 seconds left in this one. #HTAFC

Substitution for Huddersfield Town OFF; Taylor ON; Gooch #HTAFC

+3 minutes of additional time #HTAFC

Substitution for Huddersfield Town OFF; Sanches Fernandes ON; Tovide #HTAFC

Sanches Fernandes signals to the bench to come off before dropping to the floor. He doesn’t need treatment and is back up and trudges off the field as he gets substituted. #HTAFC

GOALLLLLL HUDDERSFIELDDDD 2-0 It’s that man AGAIN as Sanches Fernandes is away and behind the Wigan defence. He’s got the pace and after pushing it inside onto his left foot he smashes it home past the goalkeeper who slipped on the surface moments before trying to make that save. A HUGE goal for the terriers and probably against the run of play. #HTAFC

Mumba absolutely furious with the ref there for calling a cheap foul on him. That furious reaction is echoed on the sideline as Drury gives hell to the fourth official. #HTAFC

🟡Humphreys becoming the third terrier booked this afternoon. His loose touch gives the ball away before he tangles with the Wigan player and brings him down. It’s a foul but a soft card that for me. #HTAFC

Huddersfield slightly fading here as bottom of the league Wigan force a save to his right hand side from Matty Young. Drury and his staff all up off their seats in the dugout as they try to change the momentum of this game. #HTAFC

Ahhhh it just frustratingly doesn’t break for Joe Taylor who is nearly in and behind the Wigan defence after some superb work from Sanches Fernandes to start a counter attack when it seemed easier to just boot the ball into touch. #HTAFC

Substitution for Huddersfield Town; OFF; Fletcher ON; Harness #HTAFC

The game also getting feisty and a bit stop start out there too. Both which is playing into the visitors hands who are once again coming forward in numbers. #HTAFC

Wigan probably getting the better of things now especially over the last 5 minutes. They’ve flashed an effort wide and are forcing us back into our own box. Activity now from that Huddersfield bench. #HTAFC

Huddersfield have had a nack of scoring at the right and important times in games this season. Right now, Wigan are slowly gaining confidence with the scoreline just 1-0. It would be the perfect time to double our lead. #HTAFC

More good work defensively from Joe Low who has really started to perform better since getting a run of games together. A vital interception from him just now in our box. He’s been solid so far today. #HTAFC

🟡 Bowat gets a booking for tripping over and bringing down a Wigan player. #HTAFC

Long throw in from Bronkhorst…cleared comfortably, not even making it to the front post. Every week that frustrates me. #HTAFC
