EXCL: Nigel Farage says Ann Widdecombe would still be alive today if police had properly probed the firebomb attack on his home a year before her murder.
I sit down with the Reform leader, who tells me about the threats he has received.

Party conference season was largely unrealistic about the UK’s gilt market position - if a real crash happens none of the policies matter, markets will demand huge cuts. For market contagion UK is next after France. Unlike 2022 it won’t be as simple as reversing budget policy

Welcome to Britain in 2026, where terrorists are released on bail, but if you say a Tory councillor is dressed like a rent boy, four uniformed police will turn up in your bedroom while you're asleep.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Abbas Najib, a former police officer and criminal lawyer now running training workshops for the police, implied that Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage should be “locked up” while running a session centered on so-called “Islamophobia.”
Najib’s charity, Better Communities Bradford (BCB), has raked in a growing amount of money, including from the government.
Where exactly has this money come from?
The National Pulse follows the money to map the networks of the establishment. A list of their donors are at the first link, and some may surprise you...

This is a deeply, deeply important piece of analysis by @GHWTowler, comparing the "new" Tory plans in Kemi's governing handbook to long-standing Reform UK plans.
As you might expect, the media hype around "Kemistry" is high, but the practical implications are stunningly milquetoast.

Just had a guy on a bike almost crash into me on Marsham Street (maybe 8 mins walk from Parliament) as he was speeding along the pavement on an electric bike. 20s probably, Asian-looking
I tell him to not ride on the pavement as I walk away - angrily, but no shouting or swearing etc
He throws the bike down and comes after me and says "do you want me to shank you?" (aka stab). Tucked into his belt he has a longish piece of metal - seemed to be some sort of blade but I can't be 100% sure what it was in truth. Enough to scare me anyway
I very hurriedly walk away and he yells "yeh run you posh cunt", and at some point he (I think) stops following
I call the police (was in two minds between 101 or 999 ; ended up going for the latter). Operator asked me my name and then how to spell it (hardly seemed the priority)
Tell her what happened. She asks if I am still in danger - I say well I've walked away but the guy is still around I think
She says it's not an emergency so I need to fill out a form on the police website. She says she'll text me the link
I say - there's a guy threatening to stab people and is that not a priority? She says no and to fill out the form. I try to interject but mid-sentence she cuts the call
That's it
Not sure what to think really but as someone who doesn't have many interactions with the @metpoliceuk I just didn't really expect it to be so..dismissive? Maybe they were having a busy Friday night who knows

Can you believe this is happening in a civilized Western European country?
Outrage in France after Bally Bagayoko, the far-left mayor of the country’s most infamous no-go zone Saint-Denis joined student rioters who were attacking a high school in the area.
He could be seen laughing with them, giving high fives and jumping up and down.
Bagayoko is the mayor of 150 000 people, of which around 90% are immigrants, second-generation migrants and third-generation migrants.
