We’ve lost a pillar of Uganda’s capital markets. GOO loved the yield curve, defended his claim to the USE and shared a smile with me over OMIG dividends. “Kitariko, how’s your country?” he’d ask. “GOO, it’s our country!” Sleep well, GOO. You couldn’t be ignored nor forgotten.

The Absa report marks a transition point: macro stability is no longer the main differentiator the next phase of growth depends on whether countries can convert that stability into functioning capital markets!
