Who’s investing in the AI economy, and where will the value accrue? @KiteVC, the first investor to commit to Zoom and a lead seed investor in Canva, and @mmoazami, Vice Chairman of SambaNova Systems and DDN, took that question on at FARR, with @thebenbergman of Business Insider moderating.

1. Now we’re in the era of moving knowledge.
2. Like chips and networks before it, AI will follow a barbell structure: a powerful infrastructure layer on one end, with opportunities for applications to emerge at the edge as costs come down.

1. The technology is in its first or second inning. The froth is in the capital structure.
2. Trust is what’s slowing enterprise adoption. Once that trust is there, watch enterprise adoption and token consumption go up exponentially.

BREAKING: @iamjennyshao left her Harvard surgical residency to build AI, and was told she'd "die under a bridge."
She cold-messaged @KiteVC on LinkedIn because he backed Canva early. He replied the next day and sent her to @SanghaCapital. One 90-minute call later, they were her first investors.
Then came @larsras (Google Maps co-founder), @amandaterry at pre-seed, and a $5M seed led by @M13Company and @latifperacha. @heyrobynai ran out of invites on launch day.
Here's the part that matters: the cold message worked because it was specific. She picked one investor for a real reason, not a list.
Most founders spray 200 generic emails. One targeted message with a real "why you" beats all of them.

The debt finances a 245 MW IT facility and substation, is scheduled to fully amortize, and is disclosed as nonrecourse to Hut 8.
Not every AI campus is funded with short-dated, double-digit-cost bridge debt.
That's a meaningful bullish signal for bankability—not proof construction or collections are risk-free.

Five months ago, we were a new player, very small, and none of us had done large-scale pretraining like the frontier labs. Today Canva Craft is #4 on @DesignArena, ahead of every lab except @OpenAI, with a fraction of the para. and data. 0 to 1 in five months. Really proud!
