Never dull with this lot. Another win…and top of the table. Go on you Vets!

An emotional day…and a classic away performance… We spoke to Clive and Matt on the way home from Cambridgeshire. Our social media content is sponsored by GB Asset Finance.

Godmanchester Rovers 0 - 1 Knowle ⚽️ Duggan (Sponsor: MAC Express Transport) A second half we dominated after a slow start, and we were good value for the win, secured by a double-deflected Duggan goal. Jimmy would have loved it ❤️🖤

FULL TIME AND ITS 3 POINTS FOR THE ROBINS! We can’t see much but we can hear the ref’s whistle and the cheers of the lads. Back to the top! @GoddyRoversFc 0-1 Robins

We enter injury time and it’s full on game management time…

75’ Opposition down to 10 men…but this time it’s permanent. After being booked five minutes earlier, a bad challenge from behind on Waz means it’s an early bath for their big number 8. @GoddyRoversFc 0-1 Knowle

70’ GOAL FOR KNOWLE! Jack Duggan drills one from the edge of the box and it takes one deflection…then another one…and it loops into the net! @GoddyRoversFc 0-1 Robins

61’ Sonny Sheasby denied at the far post by the keeper. Corner after corner at the moment. 0-0

57’ Sin bin for Godmanchester means Knowle will face 10 men for the next 10 minutes. 0-0

50’ SO CLOSE! A fantastic move down the right sees a Purves cross headed down by Mubayi into the ground and just wide. It’s closely followed by a shot just over the bar. 0-0

A big thank you to @GoddyRoversFc and their fans for observing the minute’s silence immaculately.

A 45 minutes where Knowle started to take control towards the end of the half. A good shout for a penalty against Hayden Purves is waved away but other than that no chances of note. @GoddyRoversFc 0-0 Robins

30’ Neither keeper has been tested yet with much of the battle being fought in the middle third. 0-0

The players observe a minutes silence at the start of the game for our dear departed friend Jimmy Merry. ❤️🖤

At Knowle FC, Jimmy was much more than a match secretary. He was a trusted colleague, a valued friend and someone whose passion for football was on show at every game. Much of the work he undertook was behind the scenes, often unnoticed by many, but his contribution was immense and greatly appreciated by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Jimmy's passing is a great loss to Knowle FC and to the wider football family. He will be remembered for his commitment, his friendship and the positive impact he made on so many people throughout the game.
