If you don't want #Bitcoin or #Ethereum declared securities, consider filling an amicus brief. Open source builds on the work of others, it's how it grows. Every #Cryptocurrency is actually built on the backs of multiple open source projects. The #ETH devs & #BTC devs didn't even build the databases that actually store the blocks. THEY FORKED THEM!
Be worried that the SEC will declare your fork a security and use where the devs of of what was forked are "headquartered" to pull you into the USA.
For instance, Bitcoin core uses LevelDB and GETH uses Pebble (though it used to use LevelDB.) The LevelDB devs are based in the USA.
This could affect all of #opensource.
#Ethereum lawyers. Do you have your amicus briefs ready for this case, ripe April 15th? Interesting precedents in this case. #Blockchain software listed as a defendant. Venue affected by where #Uniswap devs are headquartered? Uniswap "so-called decentralized."? That and so much more. You've seen dozens of amici in Coinbase, Kraken, Binance and other cases, because if a bad precedent gets set, it's bad for everyone; and good precedents are better for everyone. See the attached picture of public documents where numerous good arguments have been made, if you're curious about other amici that have been filed in #cryptocurreny cases.
By April 8th (~2 weeks) the Motion to Dismiss 1:23-cv-05749 will be public.
I am not a lawyer. Not financial advice, not legal advice, past performance no guarantee of future. #bitcoin

A project that rhymes with lunchables was just hacked for $62.5M. This is why using battle tested software is safer. PulseChain.com is coming up on 1 year of flawless operation and HEX is coming up on 5. DO NOT CLICK LINKS IN RESPONSES. IMPOSTERS & SCAMS>
