Damn I thought I had a problem with my phone usage until I arrived in Singapore. I’m sure it’s not just Singapore ofc, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so clearly. I was having breakfast this morning, looked around, and EVERYONEE in this big ass room was on their phone while eating. Zero presence. Zero awareness of what they were eating, who they were with, or even what the food tasted like. It felt reaaally fucking strange, like I was in a simulation, surrounded by bots. Kids, teens, adults, everyone. I’m not judging anyone btw. I’m sometimes guilty of this too, but it just made me realize how far we’ve already gone. These devices are literally consuming our whole lives. It’s a spiral of scrolling instead of doing shit. Consuming instead of creating. Watching other people live instead of actually living. Then we wonder why we lack discipline, purpose, direction, or why we’re not accomplishing the things we say we want. We are basically all cooked if we don’t wake up now and actively fight this shit with self-awareness and extreme discipline. At this point, limiting your phone usage is not a productivity hack or a healthy habit, it is literally just taking your life back. Starting yesterday is already too late. Share this post before you disappear. I love you all. Stay present.
